Attending the program were Dr. Vu Thuy Duong - Head of Publishing Department, Academy of Journalism and Communication; representatives of Thanh Sen Ward People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Board of Directors of Le Van Thiem Secondary School and many students of the school.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh emphasized: Reading books is not only an activity to cultivate knowledge but also a manifestation of the desire to learn and the spirit of lifelong self-improvement, the inherent beauty in the tradition of learning of our nation. Quoting President Ho Chi Minh on the importance of reading, Mr. Thanh said: "In the age of technology, when the world is just a touch of a screen away, books are still a 'clean energy source' of intelligence, helping people to calm down, contemplate and mature".
From there, he called on each individual, from teachers, students to parents, to become "companions of books", making reading a natural part of life, not only to learn but also to live, to understand and to love.

Within the framework of the program, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh donated nearly 200 books worth 20 million VND to the library of Le Van Thiem Secondary School; Waka Company also donated an electronic bookshelf, contributing to helping students access modern and more convenient knowledge in the digital age.
At the seminar, Dr. Vu Thuy Duong had an open exchange with staff, teachers and students, analyzing the challenges and opportunities of reading culture in the era of technology 4.0. Many passionate opinions were shared, suggesting directions so that reading books - whether on paper or on screen - still retains its spiritual value, contributing to the formation of personality and nurturing knowledge for the young generation.

The most impressive highlight of the program was the “Introducing Good Books” contest performed by students of all grades. With careful preparation, creativity in presentation and sincere emotions, the students brought meaningful stories, spreading the love of reading to all students.
Opening the program, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (class 6A5) led the audience to “Totto-chan by the window”, an innocent and pure story about friendship and beautiful dreams of childhood. Pham Bao An (class 7A3) continued with the introduction of “The school of always”, evoking many pure and dear memories of student days. Doan Nguyen Nhu Ha (class 8A4) brought a heroic atmosphere through the work “Memories of Dien Bien”, arousing national pride. Closing the program, Duong Thao Nguyen (class 9A2) left many emotions when introducing the work “Blue Lotus”, expressing love and deep gratitude to beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

The entries were vividly presented with images, videos, and QR code projections, demonstrating the fusion of traditional reading culture and digital technology. The jury awarded prizes to the best entries, recognizing the creativity, emotion, and ability to spread the love of books of students from Le Van Thiem Secondary School.
The discussion not only brought valuable sharing but also conveyed a strong message: Preserving and developing reading culture in the digital age means preserving the core of Vietnamese culture, the spirit of learning, respect for knowledge and the aspiration to rise up through the path of understanding.
