By the morning of July 20, although there was no ban on going to sea, due to forecasts of heavy rain and strong winds, hundreds of fishermen proactively brought their boats ashore to ensure safety.
According to statistics from the Management Board of Fishing Ports and Storm Shelters for Fishing Boats in Ha Tinh , 605 boats have anchored at ports in the province, including 564 boats of Ha Tinh fishermen and 41 boats of fishermen from other provinces.

Specifically, at the fishing port and storm shelter area of Cua Sot (Loc Ha commune), there are 220 domestic boats and 39 foreign boats; at the fishing port and storm shelter area of Cua Hoi - Xuan Pho (Dan Hai commune), there are 39 domestic boats and 2 foreign boats; at the storm shelter area of Cua Nhuong (Thien Cam commune), there are 165 domestic boats and 140 domestic boats at the storm shelter area of Cua Khau (Hai Ninh ward).
Fisherman Tran Van Nam (Thien Cam commune) said: "In recent days, offshore there have been big waves and strong winds, making fishing difficult. Hearing that storm No. 3 could directly affect us, we proactively returned to shore early to take shelter. Safety is still paramount. We have also tied up and anchored securely to minimize damage."

According to Mr. Than Quoc Te - Deputy Director of the Management Board of Fishing Ports and Storm Shelters for Fishing Boats in Ha Tinh, the unit has proactively informed, guided and supported fishermen to bring their boats to safe storm shelters.
