Apple only introduces one new iPhone model each year, but it also maintains a number of older devices to expand its product portfolio and reach a wider range of customers.

In the Vietnamese market, Apple has used this strategy for many years and achieved considerable success. Currently, the company's iPhone product range ranges from the 10 million VND segment to over 60 million VND.
However, Apple's retention of so many older devices is making it more difficult for users to choose. In the price range of 10-15 million VND, the company offers up to 3 different options, including iPhone 13, iPhone 14 and iPhone 16e.
Speaking to Dan Tri reporters, representatives of some authorized Apple dealers in Vietnam said that this situation will soon end as the company prepares to stop selling some old models in the near future.
"iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 are expected to start to run out of stock in the near future, especially in terms of color and capacity, there will no longer be enough options for customers. The supply of these two models will only be enough to meet the market until the end of the fourth quarter of this year," said a representative of Minh Tuan Mobile.
Currently, the iPhone 13 is being offered by dealers at a price of 12.5 million VND for the 128GB version. The iPhone 14 is priced at 14 million VND for the 128GB version. Both devices are only available in a limited number of colors.

Despite being "discontinued", sales of iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 remain stable thanks to their affordable prices (Photo: GSMArena).
In fact, Apple "killed" the iPhone 13 product line in September 2024 right after the company announced the iPhone 16 generation. Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 was also "killed" by the company after introducing the iPhone 16e model in February.
The iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 duo are currently the two cheapest genuine iPhone models of Apple in the Vietnamese market. The sales of the devices have always remained stable, even surpassing some newly launched models such as the iPhone 16e.
"After Apple stopped selling the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12, sales of the iPhone 13 increased sharply. Up to now, this duo still attracts a large number of customers thanks to its affordable price and good equipment that brings a stable user experience," said a representative of Mobile America.
