During the first two days of the peak campaign to ensure traffic order during Tet, Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police detected and handled 3,331 violators, including 11 cases positive for drugs.
On December 18, information from the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police - PC08 said that after two days of peak campaign to ensure traffic safety and social order (December 15 and 16), Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police inspected a total of 6,218 vehicles.
Thereby, 3,331 cases of traffic law violations were detected and handled, 1,211 vehicles were detained, and 614 driving licenses were revoked.

Common violations include carrying more people than allowed; driving in the wrong direction; violating regulations on alcohol and drug concentrations; violating regulations on speed; carrying goods exceeding the permitted size and weight; stopping and parking in the wrong place...
Of these, there were 231 cases of driving in the wrong lane, 407 cases of stopping and parking in violation of regulations, 304 cases of speeding violations, 42 cases of carrying more people than the prescribed number, 14 cases of carrying goods exceeding the permitted weight, 1,016 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 11 cases of drug violations...
Authorities also increased patrols and controls in key areas, major traffic routes, warehouses, markets, entertainment venues, etc. to prevent violations of the law and ensure security and order.
On waterways, the Waterway Police conducted a total inspection of 143 cases, recorded 29 violations, with violations of transporting beyond the safe waterline, violating alcohol concentration regulations; violating regulations on safety equipment and tools of vehicles...
In the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police will strictly handle violations and promote traffic safety propaganda activities through many forms, contributing to raising people's awareness of traffic participation.
