Hai Phong is ready to host a fireworks display on New Year's Eve.

City leaders requested that the forces responsible for the fireworks display continue to review technical procedures to ensure safety and a successful launch.

Comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government, and people of Kien An ward.

On the afternoon of February 16th (29th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake), Comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, inspected the preparations for the New Year's Eve fireworks display at the Hanh Phuc Lakefront in Kien An Ward and the central stadium of Kien Hai Commune.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that organizing the fireworks display is a particularly important task aimed at contributing to a joyful and festive atmosphere for the people to celebrate Tet. From now until New Year's Eve, the forces will continue to review the procedures and thoroughly check all technical aspects to ensure safety and a successful display.

The forces responsible for the fireworks display will coordinate closely with the police, medical , and fire departments, ready to respond to any potential situations; maintaining security and order, preventing fires and explosions, and ensuring absolute safety.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government, and people of Kien Hai commune.

On the occasion of preparing to enter the New Year of the Horse 2026, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, presented gifts to encourage and wish the local Party committees, authorities, and forces responsible for the New Year's Eve fireworks display in Kien An ward and Kien Hai commune.

By 4 PM on February 16th, the installation of the fireworks displays was complete. At all fireworks display locations, sufficient personnel and equipment were deployed, ready to respond to any potential situations.

At the Hanh Phuc Lakefront in Kien An Ward, 200 high-altitude fireworks displays and 100 low-altitude displays were held. At the central stadium in Kien Hai Commune, 100 high-altitude displays and 60 low-altitude displays were held.

Later that afternoon, Comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, visited, extended New Year greetings, and inspected the preparations and organization of the fireworks display at the Central Political and Administrative Square of Hai Phong .

The comrade visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the forces responsible for the fireworks display, and also directly inspected the preparation and implementation of plans for organizing the fireworks display to welcome the New Year 2026.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Hung visited and encouraged the officers and soldiers on duty firing fireworks at the city's Political and Administrative Center square.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged and commended Regiment 50 of the City Military Command for their efforts and prompt completion of the fireworks display preparations in a short time, ensuring everything went according to plan. The forces continued to coordinate closely, strictly adhering to regulations on security, order, and fire prevention, ensuring absolute safety before, during, and after the fireworks display.
