Two months processed 126,482 drivers violating alcohol concentration

On the evening of December 8, the Traffic Police Department announced that in the past two months (from October 8 to December 7), the Traffic Police force nationwide detected and recorded 126,482 drivers violating alcohol concentration.

In particular, the national Traffic Police force simultaneously carried out 37 shifts (in 24 days) of patrolling and controlling alcohol concentration within a certain time frame under the direction of the Director of the Traffic Police Department, detecting and recording 59,282 cases of alcohol concentration violations.

Compared with the previous period, the number of violations handled increased by 30,167 (23.85%).

“The increased inspection and handling of alcohol violations shows that there are still a number of traffic participants who do not have the awareness to comply with the law and are not aware of the harmful effects of driving while their bodies have alcohol,” said a representative of the Traffic Police Department.

In the coming time, the national traffic police force will continue to regularly and continuously check and handle violations of alcohol concentration, including during holidays and Tet, until the habit of "don't drive after drinking" is established among traffic participants./.
