South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun will raise the issue of cooperation to eradicate fraud-related crimes in Cambodia and the establishment of a joint police task force, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said.

On social media, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said the talks in the capital Phnom Penh were "productive" and covered a range of issues, including trade, investment, defense and tourism .
Cambodia’s senior minister in charge of combating cybercrime, Chhay Sinarith, said authorities are continuing their crackdown by targeting the masterminds and organizations behind the scam industry and tracing their financial sources. He met with South Korea’s acting National Police Agency chief Yoo Jae-Seong on Monday.
The United Nations and other agencies estimate that online fraud nets international criminal gangs billions of dollars a year. Cybercriminals pretend to be friends or advertise fake investment opportunities to defraud targets around the world.
According to South Korean officials, the scam centers in Cambodia are estimated to have about 200,000 workers, including 1,000 Koreans.
Last month, 64 South Korean nationals detained by Cambodian police were repatriated. About 50 of them were arrested shortly after arrival on charges of involvement in online fraud.
