From the 1st to the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year (February 16-19), the Nui Cam Tourist Area (Nui Cam commune, An Giang province) recorded a sudden surge in visitors. The roads leading to Nui Cam were bustling with vehicles bearing license plates from Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta provinces.

Accordingly, long lines of people, braving the sun, stretched from the foot of the mountain to the summit, stretching 2 to 3 kilometers. Most of the people flocked to the spiritual sites and famous landmarks on the mountaintop, such as the Maitreya Buddha statue, Van Linh Pagoda, and Thuy Liem Lake.
The roads leading up to Mount Cam were also crowded, with bustling buying and selling activity observed on the first day of the year.
According to data from the Cam Mountain Tourist Area Management Board, in just two days, the first and second days of Tet (Lunar New Year), the unit recorded a total of nearly 29,000 visitors. Nearly 20,000 visitors chose to ascend the mountain by motorbike, tourist bus, or on foot; the rest used the cable car system to reach the summit.

Mount Cam (also known as Thien Cam Son) is the highest mountain in the That Son mountain range ( An Giang province) and is known as the "roof" of the Southwestern region of Vietnam. With an altitude of over 700m above sea level, it boasts a cool climate year-round and attracts millions of visitors annually.
