On the morning of June 12, at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square (Hanoi), Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 officially opened, attracting the participation of a large number of people and tourists. The event was co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In particular, in the colorful festival space, 80 couples held hands and entered a special moment - the mass wedding ceremony "Couple Day - Love is happiness". Although each person has a different story, they met at a common point: believing in choices, believing in the journey together, and believing that happiness is something that can be created by oneself.

Happiness is not luck – it is the choice to go through the years together.

Among the joyful crowd and the pure white wedding dresses, there were quiet but deeply moving stories. “Happiness is not far away. Love is happiness – and happiness is love.” That saying seems to be true for all the couples present today, even though their journeys are different.

There are loves that have only gone through a few years of testing, there are relationships that have lasted half a century. But when they hold hands and tell stories about their lives, everyone feels that: happiness is not a gift of luck, but the result of choice - the choice to hold hands, move forward and overcome the storm together.

The story of Ms. La Thi Tuyet (74 years old) and Mr. Tran Van Giau (75 years old) is a beautiful example. 50 years of living together, 3 children, 6 grandchildren - a family full of love. When wearing a gorgeous wedding dress in today's ceremony, Mr. Giau's eyes were filled with emotion:
“In our time, we couldn’t wear dresses like this. Today is the 80th anniversary of our nation’s independence. Looking at her in her wedding dress, I feel like I’m back in the old days of our wedding… so happy.”

In the simple confession, listeners seem to see the long journey full of love, patience and companionship of a generation.

Another story that touched the hearts of many people is the journey of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa and Mr. Nguyen Van Cua - a couple who have been together for 16 years. The incident happened when Mr. Cua had a serious accident and had to be treated for 8 consecutive years. There was a time when doctors thought that the possibility of saving him was almost impossible. In the most desperate moment, Ms. Hoa still resolutely refused to give up, being both a mother and a support for her husband, while seeking treatment everywhere. During the days Mr. Cua was in a coma, the only thing that still existed in his dreams... was his wife. And that was not only love, but also spiritual strength, the thread that kept him back to life, back to his family after months full of challenges.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa always accompanied and stood side by side with Mr. Nguyen Van Cua during the time of sudden incidents.

In the program, MC Quyen Linh - who has witnessed countless touching everyday stories shared: "Love is like that, even in a coma, he only calls his wife's name, that is the spiritual motivation for the wife to overcome all obstacles in life. In love, sometimes patience and responsibility are also needed."

Beautiful beginnings for future happiness

Besides the stories that last over the years, the mass wedding also witnessed the love opening a new chapter.

Mr. Vu Thanh Tung ( Hai Phong ) and Ms. Pham Thi Hong Minh (Hung Yen) are among them. Standing in a space filled with happiness and love, the moment witnessed by both parents made Mr. Tung unable to hide his emotions: "Today, with our parents standing together to witness this meaningful moment, we will certainly never forget it."

Ms. Hong Minh considers this a very special milestone before preparing to enter married life: "We plan to hold a wedding in the near future, but being able to join 79 other couples makes today really meaningful. I consider this as a preparation in advance, and it will definitely be a very beautiful memory for our upcoming journey." - Ms. Pham Thi Hong Minh shared.

In them, people see excitement, trust and anticipation for the future - the beautiful emotions of youth when starting to build a home.

The Vietnam Happy Day is therefore not simply a cultural activity, it is like a mirror reflecting the way Vietnamese people look at happiness: simple but profound, lasting but gentle. From couples who have been together for half a century to young people who are starting the first page of their lives, all contribute to weaving a common story that love is not just an emotion, but the choice to continue loving each other every day.

Today's event, therefore, not only brings joy to 80 couples, but also spreads a positive spirit to the community - the spirit of a country that is striving to create happiness from the closest things.

Love is happiness, and happiness is sometimes simply being loved.

In the midst of the modern, sometimes hurried pace of life, it is beautiful to have days like today – days when people are reminded that happiness is not far away. It lies in the hand holding another hand, in the loving eyes of a partner, and in every decision to move forward together. And when couples join together in the atmosphere of the Vietnam Happy Day, people seem to see a gentle message spreading: Love is happiness. And happiness, sometimes, is simply being loved.
