Looking back on its development journey of more than three decades, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) is not only proud of its economic achievements but also of its efforts to create a happy nation.

Vietnam ranked 2nd in Southeast Asia, 46th out of 143 countries and territories in the World Happiness Report 2025 - up 8 places compared to 2024 and marking the highest ranking since the report was first published in 2012. This achievement reflects the efforts of the State and the business community to develop the economy in conjunction with building a happy nation. In particular, a significant contribution is thanks to accompanying businesses, typically MB with a three-decade journey of building national happiness.

To recognize and spread these inspirational stories, the Government Portal in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV9) organized the Talkshow "Building the Country - Proud of Vietnam" with the theme "Journey of Happiness", pioneering business representatives will share their philosophy and specific actions in creating happiness for the community.

At the Talkshow, MB CEO Pham Nhu Anh shared the strategy of linking economic growth with social responsibility, creating happiness for employees, customers and the community.

Sowing seeds of trust through dedicated products

Established in 1994, during the country's reform and integration period, MB established its mission and is committed to that mission until today: "A bank is not simply a place to store assets, but a place to preserve and enhance the value of community trust."

Mr. Pham Nhu Anh, General Director of MB, emphasized: "When people put their trust in financial institutions, when businesses trust a transparent environment, that is a solid foundation for national happiness." According to Mr. Anh, absolute transparency is the most solid foundation of trust in the financial system.

To maximize transparency, MB has proactively built a pioneering digital platform ecosystem such as MBBank App serving more than 35 million users, BIZ MBBank for more than 350,000 businesses with the ability to process online credit within 2 hours. Especially Charity App, the first charity calling and disbursement platform in Vietnam with an automatic statement mechanism, 100% transparent.

MB's multi-function personal and business card product is the first product in Vietnam to integrate both debit and credit features on the same chip, helping customers manage their spending more easily. The card line for businesses can issue up to 8 sub-cards to different departments and track the entire cash flow in real time on the App. All MB card lines are equipped with security chips according to the international EMV standard.

Creating humane “DNA” in corporate culture

MB does not position community activities as simply a duty to comply with CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), but considers it as a “DNA of corporate culture” that has been nurtured throughout the development journey. Recently, to spread the spirit of sharing on the occasion of the bank’s birthday, and at the same time support in responding to the damage caused by storms and floods to the people of the Central region, MB donated nearly 400 million VND to the localities that were heavily affected. Kind-hearted people can also contribute with MB through account number 1994 - Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) to support people in flood-affected areas.

MB commits 70,000 billion VND to finance renewable energy projects, contributing to the production of 3,600 MW of clean, environmentally safe electricity.

Belonging to the Big 5 group, MB currently has total assets of 1.33 million billion VND and pre-tax profit of more than 23,000 billion VND in the first 9 months of 2025. MB is among the largest tax-paying enterprises in the country and is a reputable capital channel for thousands of domestic and foreign enterprises investing in Vietnam (FDI).
