Make a clear plan
The 2025 Asian Chemistry Olympiad (AChO) is organized by the Organizing Center for STEM Olympiads (OCSO), an organization involved in STEM development to create 21st century skills (critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, communication and computational thinking) through competitions and Olympiads.
After extremely stressful exams, the Vietnamese contestants achieved excellent results, bringing home one Champion, 5 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals and 8 Bronze Medals. Sharing her joy with theEducation and Times Newspaper, Bao Ngoc confided: "In addition to my own efforts, I am extremely grateful for the dedicated teaching of the teachers at school and the encouragement and support of my parents and friends. Before taking the exam, I had reviewed thoroughly and received enthusiastic guidance from the teachers. When I took the exam, I only thought it was an experience and was not too nervous."
After winning the Gold Medal, Ngoc felt very happy because her efforts were well rewarded. The female student expressed her gratitude to Mr. Pham Trong Thinh - her homeroom teacher for two consecutive years and also the person who directly taught Chemistry practice; Mr. Vu Van Hop - Head of Chemistry group and inorganic teacher since she was in 10th grade.
The modest female student said that her achievement this time is very small compared to the achievements of her seniors as well as other students in the school. However, Bao Ngoc hopes that the Gold Medal of the 2025 Asian Chemistry Olympiad will contribute to motivating other students.
Female student with special qualities
Students of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted participate in many useful cultural and sports activities at school.
Commenting on his student, Mr. Pham Trong Thinh - Chemistry teacher at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted said: Phan Bao Ngoc is a special student. Right from the first lessons at school, Ngoc showed an endless passion for Chemistry. Not only that, Ngoc's will, spirit of learning and progress is also very great.
I am very diligent in asking teachers, seniors and friends about knowledge, documents and study methods. In each review period, Ngoc always sets very specific goals for herself and tries to complete them. Whether the results are successful or not, I am not satisfied with the results, not discouraged, and immediately start on the next goal.

In the 10th grade and the first semester of 11th grade, Ngoc achieved many high achievements such as: Silver Medal in the Natural Science and Chemistry Olympiad organized by the Vietnam Chemistry Association; Bronze Medal in the Natural Science Olympiad organized by the University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Silver Medal in the Lavoisier International Chemistry Olympiad;
Second prize in the 2024 Provincial Gifted Student Selection Exam; Bronze Medal in the Natural Science Olympiad organized by Hanoi National University. In particular, with the Gold Medal in the 2025 Asian Chemistry Olympiad, she was in the top 3 contestants with the highest scores in the category for high school students.
"To achieve that achievement, in addition to her own efforts, Ngoc also received active support from teachers during her studies, guiding her on knowledge and learning methods... I hope that Bao Ngoc's achievements are not only her own achievements but also a source of encouragement and influence on other students to always strive to excel and achieve high academic achievements," said Mr. Thinh.
The 2025 Asian Chemistry Olympiad (AChO) has the participation of 17 countries around the world. The results of the Vietnamese delegation affirm the intelligence of Vietnamese students in general and Nam Dinh students in particular in international chemistry competitions, contributing to promoting the movement of studying chemistry at high school level.
