Across the country, many people flock to downtown streets to celebrate Tet, eagerly awaiting the New Year's Eve.

-23:05: In Quang Tri , on New Year's Eve, the weather was very cold, but people still traveled a long distance to the city to participate in the countdown and watch fireworks to welcome the new year.

Dong Ha City of Quang Tri Province will organize a special art program to celebrate the Party and Spring with the theme “Aspiration to Rise”. At the end of the program, at the time of ending the old year and welcoming the new year, there will be a countdown to welcome the New Year and fireworks.

At 11pm, the program begins with special art performances by the actors of the Quang Tri Traditional Art Troupe and singers who are children of Quang Tri and are active in the arts across the country.

Present at the Quang Tri Province Cultural and Cinema Center Square early, Ms. Tran Nguyen Bao Yen (29 years old, residing in Lao Bao town, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province) said that this was the first time she participated in the New Year countdown program.

That same evening, she and her newlywed husband traveled nearly 100km back to the city. It was her first time participating, so she was quite excited. Even though it was cold and occasionally there was light rain, she still stayed and waited for the fireworks display.

“Quang Tri province has organized a countdown program to welcome the new year only a few years ago, so I have not been able to attend. This year the weather is very cold, but my husband, wife and friends wanted to participate, so we traveled quite a distance,” Yen shared.

The square where the New Year's Eve program took place was quite bustling, with eye-catching signs, flags, lights and flowers, so the number of people coming to participate in the program increased day by day.

Throughout the streets, the colors of flags and the lights from the colorful lanterns have brought a vibrant atmosphere, contributing to the beauty and joy of the people in the atmosphere of Tet and Spring.

Currently, Quang Binh Provincial Police have increased their forces, strictly ensured the work of on-duty and combat duty, proactively prevented and effectively fought against all types of crimes, maintained security and order to ensure absolute safety during the Lunar New Year, especially on New Year's Eve.

This year, Dong Hoi City will organize two fireworks displays at Nhat Le 1 Bridge and Dong Son Park to serve residents and tourists to welcome the New Year.

-22:00: In Nghe An , thousands of people flocked to Ho Chi Minh Square to join in the atmosphere welcoming the new year of At Ty.

This year's New Year's Eve is not only a sacred moment of heaven and earth but also an opportunity for Nghe An people to share joy and hope for a peaceful and prosperous new year.

From early evening, the square was packed with people. On the big stage, a special art program with the theme "Spring Aspiration 2025" took place colorfully, with the participation of famous artists and vibrant performances. The modern sound and lighting system along with cheerful melodies created a real festival night, taking viewers through many emotions.

The audience who arrived early found the ideal seats to enjoy the show. Many families brought their children, couples held hands, and young people invited each other to have fun and capture memorable moments. Laughter, congratulations, and warm handshakes made the Tet atmosphere here even warmer.

“Every New Year’s Eve, my whole family goes to Ho Chi Minh Square to watch the New Year’s Eve performance. It is so happy to be immersed in the sacred atmosphere and feel the harmony between heaven and earth, and together express wishes for happiness and peace in the new year” – Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (45 years old, resident of Hung Binh ward, Vinh city) shared.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung (65 years old, retired cadre of Truong Thi ward, Vinh city) said: "Nghe An has many positive changes this year, I hope the new year will develop even more. I hope for a year of economic development, everyone's health, smooth work, the young generation will make many miracles".

Ho Chi Minh Square – a place to welcome spring

It is no coincidence that Ho Chi Minh Square is always a gathering place for people every New Year's Eve. This is not only the political and cultural center of the city but also a symbol of solidarity and pride of the people of Nghe An.

This year, with careful preparation from the city government, the New Year's Eve program took place in an orderly, safe, yet exciting atmosphere. Security, traffic, and environmental sanitation were strictly implemented, helping people have a complete New Year's Eve.

Entering the new year of At Ty 2025, Nghe An not only aims for a successful year in terms of economy but also wishes to improve the quality of life for the people. Achievements in attracting investment, developing infrastructure, and increasing income will be a solid foundation for the province to continue to affirm its position on the economic map of Vietnam.

- 21:40: In Can Tho , many people flock to the city center streets to celebrate Tet, eagerly awaiting the New Year's Eve.

According to the reporter, from around 8pm, the atmosphere of going out for Spring in Can Tho city became more bustling. Many people were excited to have fun and visit the Art Flower Street (Ninh Kieu district) with their family and friends.

It is known that this year's flower street has more than 40 thousand flower pots and fresh flower baskets, with many different varieties, combined with more than 20 models and miniatures made by artisans, to serve visitors to visit and take photos.

Ms. Nguyen Ngo Trang Thuy (Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city) expressed: "I took the opportunity to go out with friends to be home by midnight to celebrate New Year's Eve with my family. Seeing everyone so excited, I really like it. I hope everyone will have a peaceful new year and work and study smoothly."

Before that, around 7pm, while people were excitedly going out for Spring, some vendors were still "on the road" selling flowers. At this time, flower prices were "lowered" so that people could return home early for Tet.

Ms. Le Thi Lien (Ben Tre province) said that this year, she brought more than 1,000 pots of long-legged chrysanthemums to sell at the Military Zone 9 Museum. New Year's Eve is approaching but there are still more than 500 pots left. The female trader is forced to sell for 500,000 VND/pair, while previously the price was from 1.5 to 1.7 million VND/pair.

"I'm sure I'll lose money, but I haven't calculated it yet. Now I hope to sell everything soon so I can go home to celebrate Tet with my family and do it again next year," said Ms. Lien.
