Exciting national student basketball tournament taking place in Da Nang

Accordingly, on the afternoon of November 12, at the Center nutrition University Da Nang The opening ceremony of the 2024 National Student Basketball Tournament in the Central region took place.

Here, 11 male and female teams from universities and colleges in many provinces and cities in the Central region will compete from now until November 16.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Le Thanh Bac, Vice President of Danang University, emphasized that this is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20 and the 11th anniversary of Danang University.

“After the regional tournament, the organizing committee will select the best men’s and women’s teams to participate in the national finals scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of this year. I hope the teams will compete with all their might and bring great football to the audience,” said Associate Professor Dr. Le Thanh Bac.

This tournament is not only a healthy sports playground but also aims to raise awareness of physical training in the student community. This is also an opportunity for universities and colleges to exchange, share experiences and develop the school sports movement.

Student Le Trung Bao Khang, a basketball player at the University of Da Nang, shared: “We came to the tournament with the hope of achieving the highest results. The participating teams are all very strong, so we have a training plan, carefully prepared, and competed with high concentration.”

After the opening ceremony, the competition between the two teams of Da Nang University and Quy Nhon University took place excitingly and dramatically, giving many beautiful plays to the audience.
