Hau Giang hosts 7 events at the Mekong Delta Sports Festival

(HG) - These are boxing, kickboxing, judo, tennis, cross-country, U21 basketball and Vovinam. The 9th Mekong Delta Sports Festival - Hau Giang in 2023 will organize 27 sports with 573 individual, doubles and team competitions. Of which, there are 284 men's events, 261 women's events and 28 mixed men's and women's events. The remaining sports: traditional martial arts, athletics, canoeing, taekwondo (hosted by An Giang); weightlifting (hosted by Bac Lieu); archery (hosted by Vinh Long); billiards, bodybuilding and fitness (hosted by Ca Mau); jujitsu, men's U20 football (hosted by Can Tho); men's U22 volleyball, petanque (hosted by Tra Vinh); badminton, table tennis, swimming (hosted by Tien Giang); chess, kurash, karate (hosted by Ben Tre); Kien Giang organizes women's beach volleyball; Dong Thap organizes sepak takraw.

Judo is one of the seven sports that Hau Giang is hosting at the Mekong Delta Sports Festival this year.

The Games will take place from July to October, with the participation of 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region. Athletes must be Vietnamese citizens, in good health; not currently banned from competing by the National or International Sports Federation, Association, or by the management or use of athletes. Athletes competing for a locality must have a permanent citizen identification card in that locality. If the athlete is from another province, they must have a contract for the use of athletes or a legal athlete transfer contract signed before April 15, 2023. Athletes are only allowed to register to compete in one sport of the Games and only one unit during the competition at the Games.
