Responding to delegates and voters about the labor export situation, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (LĐ-TB&XH) Hau Giang Tran Thanh Liem said that in the first 6 months of 2023, the whole province sent 441 workers to work abroad (Japan, Taiwan, Korea), both those who had gone before and those going for the first time.

The Department's leaders said that seasonal workers abroad have an income ranging from 15 to 30 million VND/month, helping many families improve their economy , have money to build houses, buy vehicles, etc.
According to Mr. Liem, after voters' feedback on some individuals and businesses mobilizing and brokering illegal labor export, the Department sent inspectors to localities and discovered violations in Long My district.
This person has a child who established a business in Japan, then brokered it to acquaintances in Hamlet 2, Vinh Vien town to send him abroad to work.
"We have worked and asked the subject to provide supporting documents for consideration and processing," Mr. Liem replied at the questioning session.
In addition, in Vi Thuy district, there is also a situation of mobilizing people to work seasonally in Korea illegally.
The Director of the Department requested the Head of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vi Thuy district to report to the district leaders and the district leaders have directed the relevant agencies to grasp the situation, if there are any violations, measures will be taken to handle them.
Regarding solutions for the coming time, Mr. Liem said that he will advise his superiors to deploy and thoroughly grasp the directive documents of the central and provincial governments in sending workers to work abroad; take advantage of searching and expanding the market; promote propaganda andeducation so that people have full information about the labor market, fully understand, register and comply with legal regulations when participating.
In addition, this agency plans to proactively select reputable and quality focal enterprises to ensure responsibility and avoid risks for workers.
