On April 4, 2024, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of Long An Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Thi Hong Phuc led the delegation to survey the situation of establishing and collecting non-agricultural land tax in Tan Thanh district. Receiving and working with the delegation were Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee - Le Thanh Dong; Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Council - Nguyen Tri Dung.

Regarding the situation of establishing the set, the District People's Committee bases on Circular No. 153 dated November 11, 2011 of the Ministry of Finance guiding on non-agricultural land use tax; the set establishment cycle is 5 years, land prices are decided by the Provincial People's Committee. The District People's Committee coordinates with relevant departments to establish the set periodically, establishing sets arising annually.
Based on data provided by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Tax Department of Tan Thanh - Thanh Hoa area coordinates with the People's Committees of communes and towns to prepare a declaration of non-agricultural land use tax for each household and individual using non-agricultural land. The declaration is reviewed and confirmed by the commune's land - construction - agriculture and environment officials.
On that basis, the Tan Thanh - Thanh Hoa Regional Tax Department will enter the declaration form, carry out social policy exemption and reduction work according to regulations and issue notices to the People's Committees of communes and towns to organize the annual collection of non-agricultural land use tax.
Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Thi Hong Phuc highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of Tan Thanh district from the work of building a report according to the outline, the work of preparing to receive the delegation, the participants, the work of researching, deploying, thoroughly grasping and organizing the implementation of policies and instructions of the superior sector. At the same time, she also acknowledged the difficulties of the district, summarized them to submit to the Provincial People's Council in the coming time to help the district overcome the difficulties.
The delegation suggested that the district should strengthen the propaganda work on tax law so that people know how to implement it; coordination between sectors should be carried out more closely; focus on professional training for officials directly in charge of collection at the grassroots level; stabilize the grassroots collection staff so that tax collection work can achieve long-term effectiveness./.
