The conference includes the following contents: Summarizing the professional activities of the entire army's museums in 2025; discussing and exchanging the activities of museums to identify limitations and difficulties and propose solutions to overcome them; determining the direction of activities in 2026.

In 2025, on the basis of thoroughly grasping the resolutions, directives, and instructions of superiors and the State's regulations on cultural heritage, closely following the practical situation and tasks; with the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense , and the direction of political agencies at all levels and the coordination and professional guidance of the Vietnam Military History Museum (LSQS), the entire military museum system has successfully completed all tasks.
Specifically, the entire military museum system has stepped up the collection and preservation work, receiving 13,423 documents, images, and artifacts. The Vietnam Military History Museum received 687 artifacts to serve exhibition projects, and at the same time transported large artifacts with absolute safety.
Many units achieved outstanding results such as Military Region 2 Museum collected 1,073 artifacts, Military Region 4 Museum collected 1,104 documents, successfully restored and installed 4 AD-6, UH-1, A-37 and MiG-21 aircraft.
Exhibition activities continue to be focused on, with 285 large and small exhibitions held throughout the system, with increasingly in-depth content and innovative forms of expression, contributing to improving the effectiveness of traditional propaganda and education.

The Vietnam Military History Museum alone organized 35 exhibitions; the Logistics and Engineering Museum held 29 mobile exhibitions.
Many military and specialized museums have invested in renovating and upgrading their display systems to meet mission requirements in the new situation.
Propaganda and education work achieved remarkable results when the entire military museum system served over 4 million visitors. The Vietnam Military History Museum at its new location welcomed over 3 million visitors and over 150 high-ranking foreign delegations.
Many units have a large number of visitors such as the B-52 Victory Museum, the Air Defense - Air Force Museum, the Military Zone 7 Museum, the Military Zone 5 Museum...
Some museums, although located in barracks, still organize well activities to serve the people and soldiers in remote, isolated and border areas. Communication work is promoted with the application of digital technology, 3D tours, AR/VR and hundreds of social media channels reaching tens of millions of views.

The inventory work was carried out in accordance with regulations, with 66,304 artifacts inventoried. Many units gradually applied software and digitized artifact data.
At the same time, preservation work was carried out synchronously in the warehouse and display system, fully equipped with technical equipment, scientifically classified and arranged, successfully preserving 106,590 artifacts, of which many large outdoor artifacts were processed and restored with high efficiency.
The exhibition has applied high technology such as 3D Mapping sand table using light and sound projection technology to recreate important historical battles and campaigns such as the Dien Bien Phu Campaign combined on the sand table model, creating a realistic and vivid feeling of the battlefield space.
Installing reference screens, allowing visitors to actively learn detailed information, images, and documentary videos about each artifact or historical period. Using a modern sound system, only emitted in specific exhibition areas, helps personalize the listening experience and avoids interference with other areas.
Digitize exhibits and exhibition spaces, allowing visitors from afar (or on-site) to explore via computer or mobile device.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Pham Dinh Phong highly appreciated the achievements of the military museum system in the past year and affirmed that the achievements of the military museum system have contributed to the overall success of the national museum system.
Mr. Pham Dinh Phong hopes that in the coming time, the entire military museum system will continue to promote the achievements it has made, aiming to further expand its activities, in order to attract a large number of people and tourists from within and outside the country to visit. From there, the history, value and significance of the heroic Vietnamese army will be spread.

Regarding the upcoming tasks, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To requested that the entire military museum system continue to complete, arrange, and adjust the organization and staffing in a streamlined and strong direction; proactively advise and propose to leaders and commanders at all levels.
At the same time, promote the value of cultural heritage, constantly innovate the content and form of activities, strengthen propaganda and promotion work, attract visitors and participate in museum work, promote the value of military historical relics, and contribute to enhancing the role of museum work.
Along with that, the entire military museum system needs to improve the quality of professional work, continue to promote the training and fostering of specialized staff, ensure scientific research, collection and display, and especially promote digital transformation.
