The seminar was attended by experts: National Assembly Delegate Ha Anh Phuong - honored as "Global Teacher" thanks to her creative educational achievements, especially bringing ethnic minority students to access international education through technology.
Mr. Do Hoang Son - a pioneer in STEM education in Vietnam, a key member of the Vietnam STEM Alliance. Teacher Nguyen Thi Nhan, Head of the Professional Group, Cau Giay Secondary School ( Hanoi city) has devoted much effort to researching STEM education.
According to the Organizing Committee, Vietnam is setting strategic goals on scientific and technological breakthroughs (Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW) and educational and training development breakthroughs (Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW). In that flow, STEM education becomes a bridge between knowledge-technology-innovation, between schools-enterprises-society.

From the idea of General Secretary To Lam, Petrovietnam has initiated the program "Stem Innovation Petrovietnam", launched at the 50th Anniversary of the Group's establishment (September 21, 2025). The program aims to build 100 international standard STEM rooms in 34 provinces and cities, becoming the largest educational project ever initiated by an enterprise, contributing to the training of science and technology human resources and forming a new generation of energy-knowledgeable citizens of Vietnam.
Petrovietnam has developed a roadmap for the 2025-2026 period in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, STEM experts, local authorities and schools, ensuring that STEM rooms operate effectively. To date, 100 STEM rooms have been surveyed and are being installed.
The seminar focused on four major contents: Vision and strategic significance of Petrovietnam STEM Innovation; conditions for the STEM room to operate effectively; bottlenecks and driving forces of STEM education; the role of businesses and institutions investing in knowledge.
Sharing at the seminar, expert Do Hoang Son said, as we know, Vietnam has included the concept of STEM education in the 2018 General Education Program. This is a very important step in the history of educational development. Based on the definition in the program, STEM is an interdisciplinary education integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics; secondly, learning through practice and thirdly, being linked to the surrounding life context.

According to expert Do Hoang Son, the world is carrying out the 4th Industrial Revolution and preparing for the 5th, international competition is very fierce. Therefore, digital transformation is considered a strategic issue, vital to the nation in implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the vision of 100 years of Vietnam.
Meanwhile, according to National Assembly Delegate Ha Anh Phuong, this is a very meaningful program and needs to be expanded further. Petrovietnam has not only stopped at short-term investment but also invested very systematically in education, demonstrating the Group's long-term vision in preparing human resources. In particular, this demonstrates the great social responsibility of the enterprise.

As a teacher who used to teach in mountainous areas, I have encountered many difficulties, for example, students do not have many opportunities to access modern labs or modern equipment. Therefore, I think that the Stem Innovation Petrovietnam program is very meaningful for students, helping to reduce regional gaps.
I also think that Petrovietnam really considers education development as one of the long-term strategies to develop future human resources, so the Group can invest systematically and create this meaningful program.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Nhan, Head of Professional Group, Cau Giay Secondary School, said that when the Stem Innovation Petrovietnam program was launched, in addition to the school being equipped with modern equipment and advanced technology, it was also a turning point, a big push for both teachers and students of the school to change their thinking and innovate in teaching methods - not only stopping at traditional lectures but also bringing Stem into teaching. As for students, they have been exposed to technology, especially high technology such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics. Students can assemble robots themselves and bring their own robots to compete in the region.
