Leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association visited the model of using organic fertilizer on Taiwanese guava trees in Trung village, Phuc Hoa commune. |
In 2025, despite the complicated weather situation in Bac Ninh (drought at the beginning of the year and prolonged floods in the fall), thanks to timely guidance and strict technical compliance, the entire guava area of the model developed well, was more resistant to pests and diseases, and quickly recovered after the water receded.
Through evaluation, the model using organic microbial fertilizers gives an average guava yield of 850 kg - 1,000 kg/sao, 1.5 times higher than the control model; labor costs are reduced by 15 - 20%; material costs (chemical fertilizers, pesticides) are reduced by 35 - 40%; revenue increases by 50% compared to the old farming method (control).
In addition, the use of organic microbial fertilizers has improved the soil, loosened the soil, limited nutrient leaching and enhanced the natural resistance of guava trees. Farmers in the model assessed that guava fruit has better quality, more beautiful appearance and is very popular with consumers.
In particular, the use of organic microbial fertilizers has helped improve the soil, making it loose and increasing the resistance of the plants. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, a household participating in the model, shared: "Using organic fertilizers, guava trees recover very quickly after the flooding. Most importantly, the guava fruit is beautiful, crunchy and sweeter than before, and is favored by traders and consumers. Material costs have decreased a lot, so profits have increased."
The representative of Phuc Hoa commune said that in the coming time, they will coordinate with the Provincial Farmers' Association to survey and select pioneer households to continue replicating the model in the area. This is a direction for stable and sustainable production development, bringing high economic efficiency to the locality.
The leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association affirmed that the model was implemented on schedule, the organic products of the Green Vietnam Environment and Technology Limited Company initially had very good results on Bac Ninh soil and were well received by farmers.
In the coming time, the Farmers' Association of Bac Ninh province will continue to propagate to its cadres and members about proactively accessing and applying organic fertilizers in cultivation, towards a safe and sustainable organic agriculture . At the same time, it is recommended that the Green Vietnam Environment and Technology Company Limited continue to have policies to support farmers in expanding the model. The Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Party Committee and the government of Phuc Hoa commune consider and plan concentrated production areas in the direction of commodity production, building a value chain in guava production...
