On the morning of October 4, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Principal of Phu Cat High School No. 3 (Phu Cat District), confirmed that the school had just removed 5 televisions installed in 10th grade classes in the school to return them to the Parents' Representative Board.

According to Mr. Phuong, in mid-September, the Parents' Association of each class in the school saw that many other schools in the area had televisions for teaching, so they took it upon themselves to raise money to buy and install five television sets in the 10th grade classes in the school. After that, a parent posted on Facebook that each student had to pay 200,000 VND from the above campaign to buy televisions for the school, causing misunderstandings.

"In fact, the campaign to buy TVs was carried out by the Parents' Association, not the school. However, after receiving instructions from the Departmentof Education and Training, the school worked with the parents' association to explain and agree to remove the TVs and return them. Later, if parents want to voluntarily reinstall them, they must follow the principles and sign a specific commitment," said Mr. Phuong.

Meanwhile, according to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Dinh province, the fundraising was done by the Parents' Association on its own initiative, not by the school. According to the principle, the Parents' Association is only allowed to solicit sponsors, not to solicit donations from the parents' association.

As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, at the beginning of the last school year, many parents reported that the Parents' Representative Board of Phu Cat High School No. 3 mobilized money to buy televisions for teaching 10th graders and the Parents' Representative Board of Nguyen Huu Quang High School (Phu Cat District) mobilized money to build a student parking lot.

Of which, the Parents' Representative Board of Phu Cat High School No. 3 mobilized to collect money to buy a television for more than 50 million VND and the Parents' Representative Board of Nguyen Huu Quang High School mobilized to collect more than 70 million VND from parents.

Immediately afterwards, the Department of Education and Training of Binh Dinh province invited the principals of these two schools to a meeting and made corrections, requesting corrections according to the content of the reflection. As a result, Phu Cat High School No. 3 removed 5 televisions installed in classrooms to return them to the Parents' Representative Board of Grade 10 students. Nguyen Huu Quang High School specifically requested the Parents' Representative Board to stop raising funds and return money to parents who had contributed to the construction of student parking lots.
