Duc Huy's music doesn't need much to say because it is life.

When the production director invited Bang Kieu to join the show, I didn't have to think twice, I accepted immediately. I even said: If I didn't invite Bang Kieu to sing on musician Duc Huy's show, what would be interesting? I feel that Duc Huy's music is very familiar.

Anh Duc Huy is a 'hit maker'. In America, we have David Foster (music producer, musician, composer), in Vietnam we have Duc Huy and Lam Phuong. That means there is no song that is not a hit. Any song that comes out is a hit, any song that comes out everyone can sing right away, everyone knows it by heart.

It can be said that this is a collection of natural sounds of life, breathing, and the voice of the heart that seems to come from the lyrics and melodies in the rustic music of musician Duc Huy. The audience will be able to wander in the musical space like a stream flowing through life with ups and downs, with peace, freedom, contrasts and cycles like a loop of life. The circle is the stage concept described by director Ngai Vo as a cycle of life that rotates endlessly without a starting or ending point.

A very real music, no need to show off visuals, it exudes the natural beauty of rustic sound through the guitar that has been associated with the image of musician Duc Huy for more than 60 years of artistic activities.

Musician Duc Huy at the age of U80 is still charming and handsome. He shares that everything that goes with nature, following fate in life will be very smooth and beautiful.

"I think it would be great if everything in this world went as planned, but the truth is that there are many factors, sometimes not as planned. In 2017, I held a concert in Ho Chi Minh City, 17 years later, I don't think I will hold a concert again. If everyone believes in fate, then agree that with good fate, everything will come naturally.

We just met by chance and wanted to do a show together, I thought of the word 'fate', naturally like life is happening. Let everything be natural, then don't have to think too much. Hopefully this live concert will be loved and welcomed by the audience", the chubby musician shared with a smile.

Young singer Muoi (Thanh Thao) participated in the program and exclaimed: "Musician Duc Huy is my father's idol. My father always wanted his daughter to have the opportunity to meet him and be his audience. I listened to musician Duc Huy's music through my parents. To me, musician Duc Huy is a great monument.

Therefore, I feel a great honor to sing in the musician's show, and I am very happy that my father's dream has come true. Besides, I got to meet the artists and professional production team, I am extremely grateful for this opportunity."

At 76, what are some things that come naturally to you that you appreciate?

Basically everything comes naturally to me. The more I live naturally, the less I believe in security through clinging to anything.

Why did you choose to hold a live concert in Hanoi?

Choosing Hanoi was fate, and also the choice of the crew and producers. Hanoi leaves a great mark in my heart.

Singing at the National Convention Center with thousands of spectators, at the age of 76, I live with little fear (laughs). We are artists, the more spectators we have, the more we burn, the more you come, the more energy we receive.

In previous shows, the musician sang some numbers with a guitar, what about this time?

In this live concert I sang 3-4 songs, there was the song "Guitar Sound" I sang alone with the guitar, some songs I sang duets, trios with other singers.

Duc Huy's music is beautiful and associated with many generations of 7x, 8x. In your eyes, who performs your songs most successfully?

From what I've heard over the years, perhaps the late singer Ngoc Lan is the singer who covers my songs the most.

In the future, whoever sings my songs, I will be grateful. Everyone has their own good points, their own style, it is difficult for me to judge who sings better, it depends on the time and many other factors. If you remember to sing my songs, I am very grateful!

A long composing career is a journey with many ups and downs. Which period in your career do you consider to be the low point?

Ups and downs are all important and necessary elements on our journey. Perhaps the lowest point in my mental state was when I first settled in the US, getting used to the new culture and lifestyle. For about 10 years I did not compose, then, overcoming difficulties, I composed most prolifically, with songs such as: "Love you for a long time", "Duong xa wet mua"...

Your love story is of interest to the audience. Do you plan to bring your wife, children, or your love story and commitment to music to the stage?

I am very happy, family happiness is something private that I don't want to show off, don't want to "flex" - as young people often say. I receive what life gives me.

Thinking about it, at this age, I am very grateful to everyone who loves me. After the show, 1 month is my 77th birthday. I was given a great music party. I felt the positive energy from the audience and I felt young again.

Musician Duc Huy shares about fate in life.

Musician Duc Huy began his career in 1963, while still in high school, he was invited by a young professional band, Les Vampires, to join as a musician.

He pursued a professional music career since 1985. He and his bands toured all over the United States for 4 years.

In 2004, Duc Huy decided to return to his homeland and restart his music career in Vietnam. At this time, he released the album "And the heart is happy again" marking his return to Vietnamese audiences.

The live concert "What Comes Naturally" will include nearly 30 of musician Duc Huy's best songs, which have created a brilliant, glamorous and worldly musical life for him. Many good songs were loved by the audience and sung along for a while.

Some of the songs include: "As if I had loved you", "Don't leave me tonight", "Drizzle", "Sound of rain at night", "Prison heart", "And the heart is happy again", "And I also love you", "White sandy beach", "Please let's have each other tomorrow", "Love you for a long time", "First love", "Guitar sound", "The most beautiful summer", "The far away road wet in the rain"... and many other famous songs.
