Last night, Man Utd had a favorable start in the match against Wolves in round 15 of the Premier League when captain Bruno Fernandes opened the score in the 25th minute, but at the end of the first half, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde unexpectedly equalized for Wolves.

However, after a mental adjustment at half-time, Man Utd scored three more goals in the second half thanks to Bryan Mbeumo, Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes to seal a 4-1 win over Wolves. This result helped Man Utd move up to 6th place in the rankings with 25 points after 15 matches and only 1 point behind 4th-placed Crystal Palace.
After the match, coach Amorim revealed the secret to helping Man Utd "transform" in the second half. He shared: "It was not a tactical problem. We controlled the match but did not finish the moves as expected. The team must do better in the small details. During the break, I explained to the players that we had 45 minutes to win 3 points. These are very important points for the team."
The Portuguese coach admitted that Man Utd had made things difficult for themselves: “Once again, after scoring, we were a little bit loose in keeping the ball, giving the opponent hope. The first half should have ended differently. But at half-time, the players knew they had the ability to win and they did.”

When asked about Man Utd climbing to 6th place and closing in on the top 4 of the Premier League, coach Amorim replied: “I don’t see any changes. My feeling is still the same. We should have had more points. But that’s in the past, now the whole team needs to focus on the future. The match against Bournemouth will be very different. The whole team needs to understand that. In this club, we always have to improve the way we play.”
Amorim also confirmed that Man Utd are negotiating with the Football Federations of Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Morocco to allow Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui to play against Bournemouth (3am on December 16) before leaving for CAN 2025 (Africa Championship).
“Let’s wait until midweek. I’m not sure yet but we’re doing our part and the national teams are also talking positively with the clubs, which is a good sign,” he said.
Wolves manager Rob Edwards admitted it was “an incredibly difficult night”, with the anger of the fans spreading to the players, particularly when Jorgen Strand Larsen was substituted and received sarcastic applause from the stands.
“I completely understand the frustration from the fans,” the strategist said. “We haven’t won a game for six months, so it’s understandable. I’m not trying to hide anything.
I know the fans want to see more positive performances from the club. The players are trying their best, I can guarantee that. But it is clear that the team is lacking confidence, lacking belief. When that happens, they cannot show their best performance. And everything becomes very difficult.
