The Spanish strategist has confirmed he will leave the Etihad Stadium after the 2025-2026 season concludes, putting an end to his 10-year journey with the blue half of Manchester.
In his farewell message, coach Pep Guardiola didn't talk much about titles or glorious milestones with the team. He looked back on his journey at Man City through memories, emotions, and love for the club, the fans, and the city of Manchester.
The Spanish manager recalled his first day at the Etihad Stadium. Guardiola recounted: “When I first arrived, my first interview was with the artist Noel Gallagher. I walked out and said: Noel is here? This will be very interesting.”

"I think I've gradually come to understand that, and so has the whole Man City team. We've fought and done things our own way," he said.
Manager Guardiola also mentioned contrasting moments in his journey with the club. There were trips to Bournemouth, where Man City lost the Premier League title, but the fans were still there. He also recalled the trip to Istanbul, where the fans were there to support Man City during their Champions League victory.
Coach Guardiola's message extended beyond football. He referenced the Manchester Arena bombing, a moment when the city showed the world that true strength lies not in anger or fear, but in love, community, and solidarity.
The Spanish manager also didn't forget the period when his mother passed away from COVID-19. Coach Guardiola said that the club, fans, staff, and people of Manchester gave him strength at the time he needed it most.
