Coach Kim Sang-sik: U22 Vietnam aims for the best results

On the afternoon of December 2 in Bangkok, the press conference before the group stage of men's football at the 33rd SEA Games took place with the participation of head coach of Vietnam U22 Kim Sang-sik and head coach of Laos U22 Ha Hyeok-jun.

Before the opening match on December 3 against U22 Laos, coach Kim Sang-sik emphasized that the whole team will focus fully on the goal of passing the group stage and achieving the best results.

At the press conference, Mr. Kim Sang-sik affirmed that SEA Games is an important tournament for Vietnamese football, and shared that the team has prepared thoroughly in terms of physical strength, tactics and competition mentality.

“Tomorrow is the first match, and it is also a very important match. We will focus fully on our immediate goal of passing the group stage,” the Korean coach emphasized.

Regarding the opponent U22 Laos, coach Kim Sang-sik cautiously assessed: "The two teams have met many times, the last time Vietnam won 2-0, but under coach Ha Hyeok-jun, Laos has made remarkable progress. I really respect their preparation and playing style."

Mr. Kim also emphasized that the U22 Vietnam team has been working at a high intensity in recent times to improve their skills and coordination. “We are very busy, trying to improve every day. The whole team definitely wants to achieve the best results tomorrow,” he said.

Responding to a question about expectations at the 33rd SEA Games, coach Kim Sang-sik said: “We will do our best to achieve the highest results. The support of the fans is a great motivation, and I hope to contribute to the development of regional football together.”

In his message to Vietnamese fans, Mr. Kim Sang-sik expressed: “This is my first time attending the SEA Games. I would like to thank the fans, whether in person or on television, for always accompanying the team. We will try to bring joy and the best results.”

On the U22 Laos side, coach Ha Hyeok-jun used the Chinese proverb "Man is in the making, Heaven is in the watching" to emphasize the team's careful preparation.

He highly appreciated Vietnamese football and coach Kim Sang-sik, and said that the opportunity to pass the group stage is still open with the best efforts of U22 Laos. On the occasion of Lao National Day, December 2, coach Ha Hyeok-jun expressed his wish that the team will play a beautiful match, as a gift to the fans of the country.

According to the schedule, U22 Vietnam will meet U22 Laos on the afternoon of December 3 at Rajamangala Stadium, opening the journey to conquer the Gold Medal in men's football at the 33rd SEA Games. The whole team aims to win, creating a favorable start for the next matches in Group B.
