Lake "just raise the camera to have a beautiful photo"
The photos show the shimmering emerald green waters of Lake Bach Sa sparkling in the sunlight. Surrounding the lake are undulating mountains, their peaks covered in snow, making the scene look like it was created by AI.
In fact, Baisha Lake has long been a popular destination on Chinese social media, with videos and photos attracting millions of interactions. However, to get here, visitors must follow very strict steps, because it is the road leading to Pakistan.

Ms. Khanh Huyen (Hanoi) is a Vietnamese tourist who visited Bach Sa Lake during her 8-day journey to explore Tan Cuong.
Xinjiang - 1.6 million square kilometers wide (accounting for nearly 1/6 of China's total area) - has a very diverse terrain, from snowy mountains, glaciers, lakes to grasslands and deserts... Ms. Huyen chose to travel independently and hire a local guide to be able to go to "mysterious" places, not too crowded, keeping the wild beauty. Bach Sa Lake is a place Ms. Huyen is determined to go.
When the car rolls on the Karakoram Friendship Highway, The lake surface gradually appeared, making the female tourist burst into emotion. The real beauty of Bach Sa Lake was even more impressive than the pictures she had seen online.

Amidst the vast expanse of sand and wind, Bach Sa Lake appears like a deep green oasis. The crystal clear lake surface is made from the melted ice of snow-capped mountains, combined with the birch forests along the shore, pristine white sand and surrounding snow-capped mountains. All of this creates a picture of nature that is both majestic and gentle.
"Here, just raise the camera and you'll have a beautiful photo, no need for any further editing," she said.

Visitors to the lake all want to check-in at the “cinema road”, where on the left is the deep blue lake, in the distance are snow-capped mountains, and behind are long stretches of white sand dunes.

Baisha Lake has a different beauty in each season. From October to March, the snow covers the lake and the lake surface is so deep blue that it feels like it could shatter with just a light touch.

Xinjiang - the land that visitors want to return to many times
Ms. Khanh Huyen shared that Tan Cuong is so vast and beautiful that she wants to come back many times.
During her recent trip, Ms. Huyen visited many places such as Kashgar, Hotan, Kucha and especially Taxkorgan. In this borderland, she experienced sleeping at an altitude of nearly 4,000m for the first time, facing the cold climate and thin air - a big challenge but also an unforgettable memory.
According to her, traveling to Xinjiang has many obstacles: the people are mainly Uyghur and use the local language; the distance between destinations is very far, sometimes hundreds of kilometers; the weather changes dramatically, with some places being freezing cold while others are scorching hot. “The toilets here are quite rudimentary, so visitors need to be mentally prepared and bring personal hygiene items,” she said.

However, in her opinion, the people here are very friendly. She communicates with them using translation apps, body language and mainly smiles.
Not only attracted by nature, local cuisine also left Ms. Khanh Huyen with unforgettable experiences.
Xinjiang’s food is famous for being “super huge”. During the journey, she tried all kinds of specialties such as grilled lamb, flatbread, Tibetan beef hotpot or simple roadside meals.
But the most impressive are still the skewers of grilled meat marinated with rich flavor, just the right amount of charred edges, soft, fragrant and characteristically mildly spicy. “In the dry cold of the desert, holding a hot skewer of meat and drinking some beer, it is truly the authentic taste of Nam Cuong”, she said.

"I plan to return to Bac Cuong in winter to immerse myself in the Altay, Kanas, Hemu valleys or Sayram lake," said the female tourist.
