The lake is so beautiful you can just point your camera and take a great photo.
Lake Bach Sa appears in the photos with its shimmering turquoise water, sparkling in the sunlight. Surrounding the lake are undulating mountain ranges, their peaks covered in pristine white snow, creating a scene that looks like it was artificially created.
In fact, Lake Baisha has long been a popular destination on Chinese social media, with videos and images attracting millions of interactions. However, to get there, tourists must follow very strict procedures, as it is a route leading to Pakistan.

Ms. Khanh Huyen (Hanoi) is a Vietnamese tourist who visited Lake Bach Sa during her 8-day trip to explore Xinjiang.
Xinjiang – covering 1.6 million square kilometers (almost one-sixth of China's total area) – boasts incredibly diverse landscapes, from snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and lakes to grasslands and deserts. Ms. Huyen chose independent travel and hired a local guide to explore "hidden" locations that are not too crowded and retain their pristine beauty. Lake Baisha was one place Ms. Huyen was determined to visit.
As the car started moving on the Karakoram Friendship Highway, As the lake gradually came into view, the female tourist was overwhelmed with emotion. The actual beauty of Lake Bach Sa was even more impressive than the photos she had seen online.

Amidst the vast expanse of sand and wind, Lake Bach Sa emerges as a verdant oasis. Its crystal-clear surface, visible to the bottom, is formed from melting snow from the snow-capped mountains, blending with the birch forests along its shores, the pristine white sand, and the surrounding snow-capped peaks. All of this creates a natural landscape that is both majestic and serene.
"Here, you just point your camera and you'll get a great photo, no further editing needed," she said.

Visitors to the lake all want to check in at the "cinematic road," where on the left is the deep blue lake, in the distance are snow-capped mountains, and behind are long stretches of white sand dunes.

Lake Baisha has a different beauty in each season. From October to March, it is covered in a blanket of snow, and the lake's surface is so deep blue that it feels as if it could crumble with just a light touch.

Xinjiang - a land visitors want to return to again and again.
Khánh Huyền shared that Xinjiang is so vast and beautiful that she wants to return many times.
During her recent trip, Ms. Huyen visited many places such as Kashgar, Hotan, Kucha, and especially Taxkorgan. In this border region, she experienced sleeping at an altitude of nearly 4,000 meters for the first time, facing the freezing cold climate and thin air – a significant challenge but also an unforgettable memory.
According to her, tourism in Xinjiang has many obstacles: the people are mainly Uyghurs and speak the local language; the distances between destinations are very far, sometimes hundreds of kilometers; the weather changes drastically, with some places freezing cold while others are scorching hot. "The toilets here are quite rudimentary, so tourists need to be prepared and bring their own toiletries," she said.

However, in her perception, the people here are very friendly. She communicates with them using translation apps, body language, and primarily smiles.
Besides being captivated by the natural scenery, the local cuisine also left Khanh Huyen with unforgettable experiences.
Xinjiang's food is famous for its "super-sized" portions. Throughout her trip, she tried all sorts of specialties like grilled lamb, flatbread, Tibetan beef hot pot, and simple roadside meals.
But the most impressive thing was the grilled meat skewers, marinated to perfection, with just the right amount of charring, tender, fragrant, and with a characteristic mild spiciness. "In the dry cold of the desert, holding a hot skewer of meat with a little beer, that's truly the authentic taste of Nam Cuong," she said.

"I plan to return to Northern Xinjiang in winter to immerse myself in the Altay Valley, Kanas, Hemu, or Lake Sayram," the female tourist said.
