Support farmer members to develop family economy

(CT) - In the period of 2023-2025, the Farmers' Association of Thoi Long Ward will entrust the Social Policy Bank to manage the outstanding loan balance of nearly 72 billion VND, with nearly 1,640 households borrowing; coordinate with the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development to support members to borrow over 70 billion VND. The Association is managing over 2.27 billion VND of capital from the Farmers' Support Fund, supporting 11 crop and livestock projects, with 82 households participating.

In addition, the Ward Farmers' Association coordinated with companies and enterprises to support agricultural materials for members in need with deferred payment and partial payment, amounting to nearly 4 billion VND. Members actively participated in training courses to improve their knowledge and skills in production, business, use of information technology, and orientation of cooperative thinking and linkage in the value chain.

Thoi Long Ward Farmers' Association launched a campaign for members to register to implement the movement of good farmers and businessmen at all levels associated with "3 no's" in agricultural production: no production and business of unsafe food, no use of electric shocks, explosives, toxic substances for fishing, no environmental pollution. Through evaluation, in the area, there are currently nearly 1,750 households achieving the title of good farmers and businessmen at all levels.
