The objective of the Project is to enhance the role and effectiveness of the Farmers' Association in ensuring food safety; to promote the role and awaken the sense of responsibility for the community among members and farmers in production and business; to attract more members, farmers, individuals, and organizations to participate in developing agricultural value chains and supplying safe food; to replicate advanced and high-quality production, livestock, and aquaculture models; and to contribute to improving the quality of life of the people, ensuring food safety to meet the requirements of sustainable development and integration.
By 2030, 100% of OCOP agricultural and food products promoted, advised, and supported by the Farmers' Association will be traceable to their origin.
Specific target by 2030: Over 95% of farmer households involved in the production, processing, and trading of agricultural products and food have the correct knowledge and practices regarding food safety.
Provide advice and support to at least 3,000 professional farmers' associations and 18,000 professional farmers' groups in the production, processing, and trading of agricultural products and food according to safe and quality standards.
To guide and support at least 1,500 cooperatives and 4,500 cooperative groups in agricultural production, processing, and trading according to safe quality standards and procedures, including at least 300 cooperatives connected to safe food supply chains; 100% of OCOP agricultural and food products promoted, advised, and supported by the Farmers' Association will have traceable origins.
100% of Farmers' Association officials involved in advisory and support work have received training to enhance their knowledge and skills in disseminating information, mobilizing support, advising, and assisting farmers in the production, preservation, processing, and trading of safe agricultural products and food.
Training and capacity building to enhance knowledge and attract members and farmers to participate in ensuring food safety.
To achieve the above objectives, the Project sets out tasks and solutions, including information dissemination, propaganda, training, raising awareness and knowledge, and mobilizing and attracting members and farmers to participate in ensuring food safety.
Strengthen the dissemination of policies, laws, and regulations on food safety; organize training courses, conferences, forums, and seminars to raise awareness and knowledge; and build a culture of safe food production and consumption among farmers.
Mobilize members and farmers to participate, sign commitments, and certify safe agricultural product and food production, processing, and trading facilities; integrate food safety into the activities of branch associations, groups, and farmers' clubs; and link propaganda with the development of model projects.
Leverage the media system to introduce models, standards, and technical regulations on food safety, highlighting their importance to health; publicize penalties and condemn violations; publish lists of establishments that have violated food safety regulations and been penalized; and create public opinion to boycott products and goods that do not meet food safety standards.
Supporting farmers in developing and replicating green, organic, circular, and high-tech farming models.
In addition, it provides advice, guidance, and support to members, farmers, branches, professional farmer groups, cooperatives, and agricultural cooperatives on food safety practices.
This includes training and guiding members and farmers on scientific processing and preservation methods, proper use of pesticides, safe animal feed, fertilizers, and water treatment chemicals; and the use of organic and biological products.
Providing guidance and support to members and farmers in building and replicating green, organic, circular models, applying high technology, biotechnology, and VietGAP in crop production; 3F models and VietGAP in livestock farming; organic, ecological, IMTA, Aquaponics, and VietGAP farming in aquaculture; and participating in value chains.
Providing advice and support to local branches and professional farmer groups in applying high technology and linking value chains; applying GMP, GHP processes, and SPS measures in the production, processing, and trading of agricultural products and food.
Support the development of brands and trademarks for agricultural products, the development of OCOP products, the registration of planting and farming area codes, and the creation of QR codes for tracing the origin of agricultural products. Support members, farmers, branches, groups of farmers' associations, cooperatives, and agricultural cooperatives in accessing and effectively utilizing resources in the production, preservation, processing, and trading of agricultural products and food, and in building a safe food supply chain.
Furthermore, according to the Project, it involves advising, guiding, and supporting members, farmers, branches, and groups of professional farmers' associations, cooperatives, and agricultural cooperatives in digital transformation in production and business associated with food safety; training and guiding members, farmers, and members of cooperatives and agricultural cooperatives on knowledge and skills in using information technology, smart devices, and safe network technology, changing mindsets and methods of production and business...
