In the final days of the year, a visit to Xim Vang commune, Son La province, will reveal the vibrant pink blossoms of wild peach trees covering the mountain slopes and valleys, painting the Northwest mountains and forests in a charming and rustic springtime scene.

From the center of Ta Xua, after traveling about 20km along a winding road, Xim Vang appears peacefully with H'Mong houses nestled under the canopy of old peach trees.

Wild peach blossoms are not flamboyant or showy, but possess a simple beauty, their delicate petals swaying in the afternoon sun.

Besides its cherry blossoms, Xim Vang is also captivating with its mystical Samu peak, hidden amidst the clouds and mountains, making it a popular destination for exploration. Nguyen Trong Cung (a photographer from Hung Yen province) said: “I am impressed by the peacefulness of this place. Xim Vang isn't as crowded as some other tourist destinations; everything happens slowly and gently. Especially this season, the wild cherry blossoms bloom throughout the village, creating a very intimate and rustic feeling. The blossoms bloom naturally, not overly flamboyant. In the afternoon, sunlight shines through the old cherry branches, and petals gently fall on the roofs of the H'Mong houses, creating a very poetic atmosphere.”
