On October 24, Miss Thanh Thuy, Bao Ngoc, Thien An, Huong Giang, supermodel Vu Thu Phuong, runner-up Thuy Quynh... attended the event to announce Miss Ky Duyen as Vietnam's representative at the 73rd Miss Universe, taking place in November in Mexico.

A month after her coronation, Ky Duyen said she was focused on preparing for the international competition, so she rarely updated social media. She has now completed her mission of building 10 schools and a project with the top 5 that has not been revealed.
Ky Duyen was tormented by her past when she registered to participate in Miss Universe Vietnam 2024. The victory and recognition from the audience helped her gain confidence and forgive herself. She hopes to turn her 10-year journey since being crowned Miss Vietnam into an inspirational lesson in the international arena.
Ky Duyen is particularly concerned about the issue of mental violence and wants to use her voice to help the community, hoping that people with mental health problems do not have to spend 10 years to overcome it like her.
Ky Duyen and her team have completed an autobiography in the form of a mini photo book, recording her journey of growing up over 10 years, along with the difficulties and how she overcame them. The work begins with a photo capturing Ky Duyen's unflattering sleep on June 18, 2015, the incident that she believes was the source of the scandals that followed. She hopes that the autobiography will help the audience understand her better.
The book is written in two languages (Vietnamese and English) for Ky Duyen to bring to Miss Universe 2024, helping the judges understand her better in the closed interview round. The work has been posted on the website hoahaukyduyen.vn and will soon be widely released.
At the competition, Ky Duyen will introduce the Ky Duyen Fit project, which aims to honor discipline, bring the spirit of turning difficulties into habits and help the audience practice beautiful body shape. The Road to Miss Universe 2024 series has completed filming and will be broadcast before she leaves. The costumes brought to the competition are designed to ensure three factors: bold Vietnamese features, expressing personal messages and fashion .
After the competition, she plans to organize the Forgive Yourself & Never Give Up marathon and build a mental health care center for young people.
Receiving mixed opinions, Ky Duyen said she clearly understood the criteria of Miss Universe: understand yourself, be confident in what you possess. She believes that 90% of success comes from not being influenced by the models imposed by others.
Ky Duyen wants to become the best version of herself, introducing the image of a strong and resilient Vietnamese woman to the judges and 129 contestants of Miss Universe 2024. Since childhood, her family haseducated her to be proud of the image of a strong, resilient, and capable woman who can overcome all adversities. She compares herself to a "tank", always moving forward, not afraid of difficulties.
Ky Duyen will use Vietnamese in important competitions, with the support of an interpreter, to convey the message most strongly. She believes that using English can reduce her confidence and concentration. However, she affirms that her communication skills are still enough to connect internationally.
Among the 130 contestants, Ky Duyen was impressed with the representatives of Thailand and India - 2 countries with high achievements at Miss Universe. Her strategy is to analyze her opponents but not pay too much attention, focusing on maximizing her own abilities.
