At a press conference held on January 13th in Hanoi to inform the public about the program, Dr. Nguyen Van Than, President of the Vietnam Classical Music Association, stated that the "Spring Aspiration" concert is a cultural and artistic activity rich in political significance and imbued with profound humanistic spirit. This is because the Party Congress is not only a gathering place for the intellect, courage, and aspirations for development of the Vietnamese nation, but also a source of inspiration for all sectors of social life, including culture and art, to raise their voices, share the same belief and aspiration, and accompany the country in the face of new opportunities.

"With that spirit, the Vietnam Classical Music Association wishes to convey, through the language of classical music, its unwavering faith in the leadership of the Party, and in the path of peaceful, humane, and sustainable development that the Party and our people have chosen," emphasized Dr. Nguyen Van Than.

The "Spring Aspirations" concert takes the audience through two parts, beginning with the overture "Welcome"—also known as the "Welcome Opening Piece"—composed by musician Trong Bang. If this work is likened to a musical voice expressing the aspiration for peace and prosperity, then Frédéric Chopin's piano concerto No. 2 in F minor, Op. 21, performed at the end of Part I, leads the audience deeper into the inner world of humanity.

In Part II of the program, the audience enjoyed Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. The concert concluded with "Returning to the Motherland" by composer Nguyen Van Thuong, arranged by composer Le Bang, as a symbol of the nation's cultural roots and the peace-loving spirit of the Vietnamese people under the guiding light of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The concert program brought together nearly 150 artists, performers, and musicians, representing the finest examples of Vietnamese and international classical music. Notably, this was the first time a single program featured artistic collaboration between two international conductors, Honna Tetsuji (Japan) and Olivier Ochanine (France), along with the convergence of two leading orchestras: the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) and the Sun Symphony Orchestra (SSO).

A special highlight of the "Spring Aspirations" concert is the participation of pianist Eric Lu, who recently won first prize at the 19th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition in Poland.

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Than, although Eric Lu's performance schedule is fully booked for the next three years, driven by his love for Vietnam, his respect for the Vietnam Classical Music Association, and his belief in the significance of the program, Eric Lu accepted the invitation to perform. "That is a beautiful gesture, a testament to the spread of Vietnamese culture in the hearts of renowned artists worldwide," affirmed the President of the Vietnam Classical Music Association.

Artist Eric Lu also expressed his joy and honor at returning to Vietnam to perform and immerse himself in the rich musical atmosphere, and shared his excitement at continuing to collaborate with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra and the Sun Symphony Orchestra in this program.

The program also features the participation of Meritorious Artist Le Giang (dan bau) and talented pianist Nguyen Viet Trung - currently a doctoral candidate at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami (USA).

The "Spring Aspirations" concert, a blend of Vietnamese and world music, creates a rhythmic atmosphere, expressing the Vietnamese people's aspiration for progress and advancement.
