Completed nearly 8 km of dual-use right-hand dike of Thai Binh River

The units have completed construction of nearly 8 km of dike along the Thai Binh River, contributing to traffic connection and promoting local socio-economic development.

A section of Thai Binh right dike in Nguyen Binh Khiem commune has just been invested in, renovated and upgraded to ensure safety against natural disasters and serve traffic.

According to the Vinh Bao Area Project Management Board, by November 8, the project to renovate the dike surface and build a traffic road on the right dike section of the Thai Binh River in Vinh Bao district had previously completed 100% of the construction volume of all items.

Completed items include: Construction of 2 new culverts under the dike; expansion of the dike body and foundation, and paving of nearly 8 km of dike with asphalt concrete.

According to the design, the dike surface is 7.5 m wide, of which 5.5 m is asphalt concrete, with 1 m on each side. There are a number of service roads connecting to residential areas and production areas. The contractor is coordinating with the investor to complete the acceptance and payment procedures.

The project, when completed and put into operation, will contribute to gradually completing the dike system in the city, connecting traffic between communes in the area, promoting local socio -economic development, and at the same time effectively implementing natural disaster prevention work.

The project to invest in renovating the dike surface and building a traffic road on the right dike section of Thai Binh River (from Vinh Bao commune to Han bridge, Nguyen Binh Khiem commune) has a total length of 7.998 km, with a total cost of 269 billion VND. The Vinh Bao Area Project Management Board was assigned as the investor.
