Completed repair of people's bridge No. 2 in H'Mong village in December

Mr. Vo Sy Tung, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Kiet Commune, said that the repair and restoration of the damaged bridge No. 2 in H'Mong village will be completed in December 2025 to serve the travel and production needs of the people in this village. The cost of repairing the damaged bridge No. 2 is about 2.5 billion VND.

Ea Kiet Commune People's Committee has requested the construction unit (Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company 26) to urgently complete the items, ensuring safety, quality, design and progress. The construction unit also filled the soil to make a temporary path for people during the repair period (to avoid the case of people having to wade through streams, which is dangerous to their lives) with a width of 2m, an average height of 2.6m and a length of about 18m; the volume of filled soil is about 215m ³ .

Employees of Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company 26 are rushing to complete the project, ensuring completion in December 2025.

It is known that the No. 2 communal bridge in H'Mong village was built in 2019. During the recent storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi), prolonged heavy rain damaged both ends of the 3x(3x3)m box culvert bridge leading to H'Mong village. In order to ensure the safety of the people, the People's Committee of Ea Kiet commune surveyed, submitted and was approved by the Provincial People's Committee to carry out remedial measures to serve the people's traffic until the new bridge is built. Remedial measures: Temporarily erect the bridge with a Bailey truss span, combined with arranging stone gabions with boulders to reinforce the eroded slopes to prevent these areas from further eroding and causing road breaks.

Previously, Dak Lak Newspaper, Radio and Television reported that the No. 2 residential bridge in H'Mong village collapsed after storm No. 13, temporarily cutting off the travel of H'Mong villagers. Immediately after the bridge collapsed, the commune leaders directed the functional forces to coordinate, deploy safety measures, and urgently make temporary repairs to serve the travel and daily activities of the people.
