Activities of Party and State leaders on December 1

On the afternoon of December 1, at the Government Office, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Chairman of the Vietnamese subcommittee of the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on economic, trade, scientific and technological cooperation, received First Vice Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation AV Yatskin.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha thanked the leaders and people of the Russian Federation for their timely visits, encouragement and material and spiritual support to the people of central Vietnam affected by recent natural disasters and floods.

Mr. AV Yatskin emphasized that the Russian Federation Council always strongly supports the friendly and cooperative relations with Vietnam, and wishes to strengthen and expand cooperation between localities of the two countries in the coming time.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha asked Russia to speed up the implementation of cooperation projects in the energy sector, support Vietnam in effectively using scholarships granted by Russia every year, and promote the organization of cultural and people-to-people exchange activities.

* On the afternoon of December 1, at the National Assembly House, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly , Chairman of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Parliamentarians' Group Nguyen Khac Dinh chaired talks with First Vice Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Parliament, Chairman of the Cooperation Group with Vietnam of the Russian Federation Council AV Yatskin.

The two sides acknowledged the continuous development of cooperation between the two countries' parliaments at many levels and in many fields. They agreed that the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation in September 2024, along with the development of an Action Plan including specific topics and tasks for the period up to 2025, has created a framework to promote comprehensive parliamentary cooperation.
