Many workers are chosen to work abroad.
Wanting to find a job with a high salary, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan (Dien Dien commune) attended a job fair organized by the Provincial Employment Service Center. Here, Mr. Toan was consulted by employers about the program of working abroad under a contract, loan support levels, loan interest rates for exit, study and work conditions, and the regime of the host country. Finding it reasonable, Mr. Toan registered to participate in the program of working in Japan. After more than 6 months of studying the language, vocational training, professional style, completing procedures and passing the employer's assessments, in early 2025, Mr. Toan was allowed to leave the country to work for a term of 5 years in the construction sector with a salary of more than 35 million VND/month...
Staff of the Provincial Employment Service Center advise workers in the province on policies for working abroad through job fairs. |
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Xuan - Deputy Director of the Provincial Employment Service Center said that since the beginning of 2025, the unit has coordinated with the Overseas Labor Center, human resource supply companies and localities to promote propaganda, consultation and recruitment of workers to work abroad under contracts. Up to now, nearly 280 workers have gone to work abroad under contracts in markets such as Japan, Korea, Bulgaria, Germany, Taiwan, Greece, etc. The majority of workers in the province working abroad are in industries and occupations such as: Electronics, food processing, restaurants, hotels, construction, agriculture, nursing, nursing, steel construction, welding, mechanics, painting, textiles, garments, etc. with incomes ranging from 20 to more than 35 million VND/person/month. Workers participating in the overseas work program not only contribute to reducing employment pressure in the province, but also bring back a significant amount of foreign currency and acquire modern technology and working skills. Along with that, the working environment in the countries receiving Vietnamese workers is always safe. After returning from working abroad, workers not only accumulate a considerable amount of capital, but also equip themselves with skills, professional qualifications, and industrial working style. From there, the opportunity to find a suitable job in the country with a stable income is quite easy; some experienced workers also proactively open their own production facilities to develop the family economy ...
However, currently, the activity of sending workers to work abroad still has some limitations such as: The quality of workers is not uniform, the foreign language and technical skills of workers are still low, the awareness of labor discipline is not high, the number of workers participating is still quite modest compared to the recruitment needs... Along with that, the cost of going abroad in some markets is still high; the policy of supporting loans for workers to work abroad is not open. Besides, the propaganda activities are not in-depth and diverse, so people do not have full and timely access to information about working abroad...
Improve the quality of labor resources
According to the leader of the Department of Home Affairs, currently, the demand for recruiting workers in the province to work abroad is about 500 workers/month. Along with that, each year, the province is also allocated by the Ministry of Home Affairs about 200 labor recruitment targets to participate in the Korean foreign worker licensing program (EPS program) and the technical internship training program for Vietnamese interns in Japan (IM Japan)... This is a high-income job opportunity for workers in the province. Therefore, in the coming time, the Department of Home Affairs will coordinate with units, enterprises and localities to strengthen state management, create resources and advise and orient workers. In particular, focusing on vocational training, foreign languages, life skills, laws and culture of the host country; directing vocational training institutions to standardize curriculum, strengthen links with enterprises to train close to the actual needs of employers. Along with that, tighten licensing, inspection, examination and strictly handle violations in sending workers to work abroad; update data on workers working abroad for more effective monitoring and management; advise and propose support policies for workers in the province to work abroad for a limited period. At the same time, establish focal points for legal support, consultation and protection of workers' rights; create conditions for workers to start businesses after returning home through credit policies, domestic job connections...
In addition, the Provincial Employment Service Center will focus on promoting the benefits of working abroad, especially in communes of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas; promptly and promptly deploy support policies for workers when working abroad. At the same time, innovate and improve the quality of job exchange activities, organize mobile job exchange sessions in 65 communes, wards and special zones to promptly advise people; closely coordinate with reputable units and enterprises licensed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to carry out procedures for sending workers to work abroad; coordinate to organize foreign language teaching for workers right in the province to save costs and time for workers...
