In 2025, the Vietnam National Tourism Administration will implement numerous programs to promote Vietnamese tourism abroad.
Boost multi-market promotion
According to the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, gathering information early helps proactively develop tourism promotion and marketing programs for 2026, ensuring synchronized coordination between the central government, local authorities, and businesses.
Simultaneously, it is necessary to strengthen national linkages to increase the effectiveness of market access, especially to priority markets and emerging markets. It is expected that tourism promotion and marketing events for 2026 will be announced no later than February 2026.
From a strategic perspective, this is a preparatory step to maintain the growth momentum of international tourist exchanges, expand Vietnam's recognition as a destination in global competition, and promote a modern, multi-platform promotion model that integrates culture, art, and film with digital technology , in line with international destination promotion trends.
In 2025, the tourism sector implemented the tourism stimulus program according to Resolution 11/NQ-CP and Resolution 229/NQ-CP; participated in and organized a series of key promotional events such as ATF & TRAVEX Malaysia 2025, ITB Berlin 2025, WTM London 2025; and coordinated the organization of activities within the framework of the Hue National Tourism Year 2025.
The Vietnam National Tourism Administration is implementing a program to promote Vietnamese tourism in Europe (Italy, Switzerland, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany), Russia, India, the United States, Australia, South Korea, Japan, and China (Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing)...
Promotional activities through film have also been strengthened, notably the promotion of Vietnamese tourism at the Cannes Film Festival, contributing to expanding the cooperation axis between film, culture, tourism, and creative industries, in line with the Government's orientation and the national brand strategy.
Other highlights include the travel booth at Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Zone in Exhibition showcasing national achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day ; co-organized. World Culture Day in Hanoi ; The Golf Course Owners Conference - Developing Golf Tourism in Vietnam 2025 reflects the trend of expanding into specialized tourism segments with high added value.

Local authorities have been very proactive in organizing tourism promotion and marketing activities.
Strengthening the national "promotion map"
The request to compile information on the 2026 tourism promotion program demonstrates the increasingly close coordinating role of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration.
By proactively announcing the national tourism promotion schedule, the management agency aims to: limit the duplication of events between localities, optimize social resources, enhance the linkage between businesses, localities, and markets, provide unified communication on the national image, and promote tourism diplomacy and trade in services.
This proactive approach is particularly important as Vietnam aims to expand its international markets after the recovery phase, while also competing strongly with destinations in ASEAN and Northeast Asia.
According to the plan, in 2026, the Vietnam National Tourism Administration will chair and coordinate promotional programs at the Travex Fair and the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026, ITB Berlin, and WTM UK.
Continue implementing programs to promote Vietnamese tourism in key markets; organize activities within the framework of the National Tourism Year 2026 and a series of annual domestic promotional events.
Overall, the 2026 promotion program is expected to create a consistent brand identity for Vietnamese tourism internationally, contributing to supporting the exploitation of new visa policies, opening new flight routes, promoting service exports, and restructuring products to meet the new demands of global tourism.
