Private preschool tuition in Hanoi is highest at 63 million VND/month

The above figures are shown in the submission of the Hanoi People's Committee on the issuance of a Resolution regulating tuition fees and tuition exemption compensation levels for preschool and general education institutions in the city for the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, for private schools, the current tuition fees have a very large fluctuation range.

At preschool level, the lowest tuition fee is 550,000 VND/month at two preschools, Nang Ban Mai and Thien Than Nho, both located in Hoa Phu commune (formerly Chuong My district).

The highest level is 63.36 million VND/month at Dwight Kindergarten, Dinh Cong ward (old Hoang Mai district).

At the primary level, tuition fees range from 2 million VND/month to 78.6 million VND/month. The school with the lowest tuition fee is Nguyen Khuyen Primary School, An Khanh Commune (formerly Hoai Duc District) and the highest is Dwight Primary School - a facility in the Dwight inter-level education system.

Similarly, Dwight Secondary and High School hold the highest tuition positions at the secondary and high school levels, at VND89.15 million/month and VND95.48 million/month, respectively.

The school with the lowest tuition fees at these two levels is IVS Primary and Secondary School (Thanh Oai Commune) with 2 million VND/month and Nguyen Truc High School (Quoc Oai) with 500,000 VND/month.

Currently, the Hanoi People's Committee has proposed two levels of tuition support for preschool children and private primary and secondary school students: 155,000 VND/month (applied to 5-year-old children and primary and secondary school students) and 217,000 VND/month (applied to children under 5 years old and high school students).

With this level of support, the city budget is expected to spend about VND525.8 billion for the 2025-2026 school year.

Hanoi currently has 2,954 educational establishments with approximately 2.3 million preschoolers and students. The public school group has nearly 2 million students, accounting for 87%. The private school group has about 318,500 students. The vocational education - continuing education group has about 57,500 students.
