Together we create “environmental warriors”

Many tears were shed after the AI programming round of the FPTU AI & Robotics Challenge 2025 in Da Nang ended. For members of The Healers team, they were tears of happiness.

Despite their best efforts and good performances, the students still could not believe that their team had finished in joint first place. Because, compared to many other teams, the members of The Healers came to technology later and did not receive formal training. Therefore, their victory surprised and impressed many people.

Talking about the award that was just given, Tran Le Bao Ngoc revealed that The Healers can be understood as healers. This name was chosen by her and other members for the team with the desire to contribute to "healing" the wounds not only hidden deep in the human soul but also in the environment and life.

Introducing the team, Bao Ngoc said that the members of The Healers are all students of class 11A1, Vinh Linh High School. Besides her, the other 4 members of the team are: Nguyen Lan Huong, Nguyen Cao Long Khanh, Thai Nguyen Tuan Ngoc and Mai Quang Dung. Being the same age, studying in the same class, and having participated in many competitions together, the members of the team have a close bond and work very well together.

After receiving information about the technology competition organized by FPT University, members of The Healers team soon met and agreed to participate. The spirit was up but the members still had some concerns. Through research, they learned that FPTU AI & Robotics Challenge 2025 gathered the participation of a large number of contestants.

Most of the contestants come from big cities and have early access to AI and technology platforms. Some of them made an impression at first sight with their confidence, dynamism, and eloquence... Therefore, overcoming strong opponents was not easy. “Although we were worried, we determined to put all our efforts into the competition. We worked together to create a video clip as requested and sent it to the organizers. After much hope, the day we received the news that our team had made it to the finals, my friends and I jumped for joy,” Bao Ngoc shared.

In the final round, after receiving the task from the organizing committee to create a software to help fight climate change, members of The Healers team and 11 other excellent teams immediately got into the game. With unity and solidarity, they created the software Envi Hero, which can be understood as an environmental warrior. With this software, users have a comprehensive grasp of the climate change situation.

With the support of AI, all information will be carefully analyzed, compared, predicted..., from which solutions will be proposed. To increase user interaction, members of The Healers team also built many attractive games; designed situations; praised, awarded... These advantages helped the team from Quang Tri quickly conquer the organizers and judges.

Mr. Tran Canh Tuan, Vice Principal of Vinh Linh High School, who is also the instructor of The Healers team, said: “In recent years, Vinh Linh High School has organized many academic playgrounds on programming and STEM for students. After receiving the plan for the FPTU AI & Robotics Challenge 2025, the school leaders realized that this was a useful playground, so they sent students to participate. Along with that, we actively mobilized the necessary resources to support the students. What makes the school very happy is that the members of The Healers team have demonstrated a spirit of learning, creativity, and effective teamwork, thereby bringing about results beyond expectations.”

Beyond the Award

It was not only when participating in the FPTU AI & Robotics Challenge 2025 that the desire to use technology to help combat climate change emerged in the minds of members of The Healers team. Nguyen Cao Long Khanh, a member of the team, said that he was born and raised in a rural area heavily affected by natural disasters. Since childhood, he and his friends have witnessed the severe consequences caused by storms; landslides occurring in many places or sudden changes in weather... "Climate change has a great impact on our lives. Therefore, combating climate change is not a matter of one person alone," Long Khanh shared his thoughts.

Realizing that, in recent times, Long Khanh and members of The Healers team have actively participated in activities against climate change at school and in residential areas. They practice a green lifestyle, such as: limiting the use of plastic bags, sorting waste, turning off lights after use, participating in tree planting...

Some members of the team are also propagandists about climate change for the people. Through each activity, the children's awareness increases. Everyone wants to contribute more meaningful actions for the environment.

Realizing the rapid development of technology, especially AI, members of The Healers team commented: "This could be one of the keys to solving current environmental problems". Therefore, when receiving the request from the organizing committee of the FPTU AI & Robotics Challenge 2025 in the final round, the team members were all happy. They quickly applied the knowledge, experience, and skills they had accumulated to create the Envi Hero software.

“Although we won a high prize at the competition, we understand that putting Envi Hero into practice requires more intelligence and effort. Therefore, we continue to work hard to complete and launch the product soon,” said a team member.

It is known that the 5 members of The Healers team are all excellent students at Vinh Linh High School. Not only are they good students and have won high prizes in many cultural competitions, they also actively participate in activities and movements, especially activities to protect the environment and combat climate change.

In addition to multiplying the confidence in each member, the achievements that the team brings also inspire many other young people in school. Everyone believes that with concern and small actions, they can still contribute to creating a green planet.
