Students will create great aspirations

In a letter tothe education sector on the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2024-2025, General Secretary and President To Lam recalled the words of President Ho Chi Minh on the first opening day of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (September 5, 1945): "Whether Vietnam's mountains and rivers become beautiful or not, whether the Vietnamese people can step up to the stage of glory to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers or not, depends largely on your studies."

Along with that are the words of the late General Secretary andPresident Nguyen Phu Trong in a meeting with outstanding students (November 3, 2018): "Talents are the vital energy of the nation. When the vital energy is strong, the country is strong. When the vital energy is weak, the country is weak."

Through this, General Secretary and President To Lam affirmed that our Party and State always identify education and training as the top national policy, and have had and are having priority policies for the development of education and training.

The new school year 2024-2025 is the first year to implement the new general education program in all grades from grade 1 to grade 12. The General Secretary and President hopes that the education sector will focus on implementing the theme of the school year: "Innovation, quality improvement, solidarity and discipline".

According to General Secretary and President To Lam, education and training need to continue to aim at human development and human happiness, maximizing the human factor, taking people as the center, subject, resource, and goal of development, creating a foundation for realizing the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization.

"With the spirit of the new school year, I believe that students will strive to study, cultivate, absorb and master knowledge, form core competencies, and create great aspirations to build an increasingly prosperous and happy country," General Secretary and President To Lam wrote.

The General Secretary and President hopes that teachers will always be dedicated, love their jobs, be creative and overcome all difficulties, contributing more to their noble cause. At the same time, he reminded parents to coordinate well with schools, creating a close connection between schools - families - society in education.

The head of the Party and State also requested that central departments, ministries, branches, Party committees and authorities at all levels pay more attention to the education cause with timely, practical and correct decisions so that teachers and students can be taught and studied in a healthy environment with full conditions to promote creativity and successfully carry out the reform of the country's education.
