Ms. Huynh Le Nhu Trang, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that currently, the Ministry of Education and Training aims for all students to participate in at least one art subject, thereby knowing how to preserve and appreciate the value of traditional music . Many schools have music clubs and amateur music clubs.
“However, in order to find new talents to nurture and participate in the art field, the competition is a necessary step. Through the process of learning and training with experts, students will be able to spread the artistic spirit, develop comprehensively in literature, sports and aesthetics, thereby spreading the spirit to other students” - Ms. Trang emphasized.
She also asked the 16 school cluster leaders to deploy the contest to all schools, encouraging students to participate. Schools need to coordinate to ensure that students' studies are not affected or interrupted during the program.
The contest consists of 3 rounds: Round 1 - Folk Sounds (preliminary) takes place from November 11 to 30, 2025 in the form of submitting videos . Contestants send videos to the organizing committee via email Sofia Art: Sofia.art.vn@gmail.com. The organizing committee will select 30-50 best performances to move on to the next round.
In round 2 (Vietnamese Moon Shines), the selected acts will receive professional training. At the same time, these acts will participate in online voting on the website and official media channels of the tournament. The results will select a maximum of 20 best acts to enter the final round.
