In the colorfully decorated space of the Theater's traditional room, students were introduced to the history of the formation of the art of Hat Boi, the characteristics of masks, makeup, costumes, and choreography of Binh Dinh Hat Boi.

With Bài Chòi, children learn about the folk Bài Chòi festival, the stage art of Bài Chòi Bình Định. Along with that, they understand the origin, playing style and cultural significance of the Central Vietnam folk Bài Chòi heritage, including the Bình Định folk Bài Chòi, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

In addition to the sightseeing activities, students of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted also went to the theater to watch actors and musicians of the Binh Dinh Bai Choi Opera Troupe (under the Gia Lai Traditional Arts Theater) rehearse the Bai Choi opera The Storytelling River to prepare for participating in the 2025 National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival taking place from November 17 to 26 in Hanoi .

The activity that excited the students the most was drawing opera masks. They directly followed the model, held pencils to sketch, and used watercolor brushes to draw patterns on the composite opera mask blanks.

Organizing experiences to learn about hát bội and bài chòi aims to help students approach and nurture their love for traditional arts. This is also a way to bring traditional theatrical arts closer to young people, creating a bridge to preserve and spread national cultural heritage.
