(Dan Tri) - The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City requested wards, communes and special zones to review information on students' "current residence" to prepare for the enrollment work at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City requires units to closely coordinate with the Department in managing and authenticating enrollment data, ensuring consistency with the education sector database and the national population data system.

Information needs to be fully updated including the number of school-age children and student residence data through the VNeID system, ensuring accuracy, validity and consistency.

In the 2026-2027 school year, primary school admissions in Ho Chi Minh City will be conducted entirely online at: https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.

Enrollment is required to comply with the targets and planning for school network development, limit overload and not exceed the permitted scale.

The entire admission process must ensure fairness, objectivity, openness and transparency; no negativity or illegal interference is allowed.

At the same time, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City requires units to absolutely keep personal information of students and parents confidential.

In particular, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City emphasized that localities do not require parents to provide additional records or documents if the information has been verified on the VNeID system, except in cases where verification is required or according to legal regulations.

Previously, according to the document guiding the verification of residential information, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City noted that for children entering grade 1 and students entering grade 6, enrollment organizations must seriously apply electronic identification (VNeID) in checking the current residence of students.

In case the current residence information and personal data on the VNeID application have been confirmed to be correct, the units are absolutely not allowed to request people to submit any additional documents (CT01, CT07, CT08...), proof or additional records of residence, to ensure simplification of administrative procedures according to regulations.

According to the tentative plan of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the enrollment plan for the 2026-2027 school year from January 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026 includes 4 phases: Review and evaluation including statistical content of student data in the whole city; promulgate enrollment plan; receive application documents and organize entrance exams, evaluate results.
