Early in the morning, the yard of Xuan Phu Primary School (Song Cau Ward) still smelled of mud. The new tables and chairs were dried and neatly arranged. On the walls, traces of flood water were still imprinted. But the laughter and chirping footsteps of the students resounded warmly, awakening the familiar rhythm of life in the school after many days of being surrounded by storms and floods. Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Tuyen, homeroom teacher of class 5C, Xuan Phu Primary School (Song Cau Ward) said: "The school was flooded about 1 meter. In the past few days, the school's staff, teachers, and police officers have worked hard to clean the mud, wash tables and chairs, and clean the classrooms. Coming back to school today, seeing the smiles of the students, I feel very happy."

At An Dan Kindergarten (Tuy An Bac commune), the first morning of students returning to school took place with many emotional images. Many children hugged their teachers as soon as they entered the classroom. The teachers took the opportunity to chat, stabilize their psychology, and bring the children into familiar activities to create a sense of safety and joy. Ms. Huynh Thi Xuan Nu, the school's principal, said: "The whole school has 185 children, but this morning 115 children went to school. The remaining children, whose families live in heavily damaged areas, are still unable to travel. The school has contacted their parents so that all the children can return to school soon."

Students of class 4C, Xuan Phu Primary School (Song Cau ward) went to school in full after many days off due to storms and floods.

Many parents brought their children to class early. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong in Binh Chinh village (Tuy An Bac commune) said: “My house was flooded, many things were damaged. My child stayed at home for several days. Today he was able to go to class and see the teacher hugging each child, I felt so sorry.”

"The return of students to school shows the close coordination between family, school and society. The Department of Education and Training has adjusted the teaching plan appropriately, not putting pressure on students after the interruption. The biggest goal is to help students stabilize their psychology, stay safe, maintain the joy of learning, and create peace of mind for parents" - Director of the Department of Education and Training

At the secondary and high school levels, the pressure of studying after the break is even more evident. Many students worry about their books getting wet and not having time to review old lessons. The school has flexibly allowed classes to both teach new lessons and review to consolidate knowledge for students to prepare for the midterm exam.

After the storm, difficulties still abound, and some schools' teaching equipment is damaged and cannot be restored immediately. However, the common spirit of teachers and students is still solidarity, overcoming difficulties and teaching accordingly, not allowing students to have their studies interrupted. Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa, Principal of Phu Mo Primary School (Phu Mo Commune) shared: "The recent storm and flood completely damaged 24 computers of the school. Therefore, the school has adjusted the study plan appropriately for the students. The focus is on ensuring knowledge and psychological stability for the students. This is not only the first class after the storm but also the resumption of life, the belief in the return of peaceful days. The school is calling on organizations and individuals to support and help buy computers so that students can study as soon as possible."

The school bell rang, signaling the first class. Many students were still confused by the changes in their classrooms after the storm. However, their eyes were still filled with joy. Today’s return to school marked a milestone that life was gradually returning to normal, and teachers and students continued their journey of learning and growing together.
