This year, the whole country has 900 candidates recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards for the title of Professor and Associate Professor. Banking Academy is one of the higher education institutions with many recognized candidates, with 13 Associate Professors.
At the ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Huu Toan, Chairman of the Academy Council, informed that this year the number of international scientific articles published by the academy's staff and lecturers also held a record number up to now with 150 articles. Recently, for the first time, the academy was listed in the Asian university rankings (QS 2026).
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huu Toan emphasized that after 64 years of construction and development, the Banking Academy has established a good tradition, affirming its position as a prestigious university. Especially in the 2024-2025 school year, the Academy has achieved many outstanding results in the following aspects: perfecting the mechanism, organizing the apparatus and developing resources; enrolling, training and developing programs; ensuring and accrediting quality according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training and AUN - QA (accreditation standards of the Southeast Asian university network); promoting scientific research, startups, domestic and foreign cooperation; strengthening financial resources, facilities, digital transformation; improving the effectiveness of student affairs and community responsibility, in which training quality is always focused on, maintained and improved.
One of the solutions that the State Bank has set for the Banking Academy in the coming time is to develop a solution to increase revenue reasonably and legally, gradually implementing financial autonomy according to the approved mechanism; at the same time, tightening discipline and responsibility in management, reporting, and financial accountability, ensuring compliance with regulations, publicity, transparency and efficiency. The Academy needs to develop a team of lecturers that is sufficient in quantity, strong in quality, highly qualified, with modern teaching methods, linking scientific research with teaching; and building a development roadmap for each lecturer.
At the same time, promote international integration in education, learn from the best, shorten the gap, spread standards; promote joint training, program linkage, credit recognition, exchange of lecturers and students and attract international scholars, thereby enhancing the position of Vietnamese education.
