On the evening of November 28, 2025, in Hanoi, musician Cuong Tong introduced the mini album " Musical Memories" with 5 works.
If the Metal element of “Waltz of Love” marks a very pure and passionate love of young people, mixed with a fast, cheerful but still extremely passionate rhythm. Then with the work “Listen to the Sea”, the emotions in the young couple begin to have separation, distance somewhere a bit cold. And with “Fire” is the burning emotion, the inner struggle, fierce, conflict and struggle, culminating in separation, breakup. The work “Autumn” is associated with the Wood element, creating impermanence, gentleness, even though it is a farewell but peaceful.
And the Earth element in the work “Childhood Memories” is a return. Just like the journey of studying and working, contributing to Vietnamese art of the musician. For Cuong Tong, new music creates a portrait and creates a manifesto in the artist’s style.
In Cuong Tong's musical career, his wife - Hoang Hong Nuong, is also a music producer. She is the niece of the late musician Chu Minh - a representative musician of Vietnam's revolutionary music with typical songs such as "You are the belief in certain victory" and "We are proud to go up, oh Vietnam". Musician Chu Minh was awarded the State Prize by the Vietnamese State in 2001.
The combination of two musical streams from Duc Minh and Chu Minh has created a family foundation with strong artistic values, where music is not only a heritage, but also a lifeline that continues through generations.
People's Artist Quang Tho shared at the launch of the album "Hoi anh am nhac": "I studied at the same music school and graduated at the same time as Cuong Tong's father, musician Duc Minh, and then joined the Quang Ninh art troupe. Later, when I went to Hanoi to continue studying and joined the Vietnam Music and Dance Theater, my youngest son was the same age as Cuong Tong and we also studied together at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music, now the National Academy of Music.
In the past, his father had composed works in the musical "Telling the Story of Thach Sanh", but now looking back, I see that Cuong Tong's works have far surpassed his father's. I listen and enjoy the musician's works with 5 works in the album combined in a unified whole like a story, an emotional journey to become a large, comprehensive work. It is no longer a mini instrumental album as the musician modestly admits, but an instrumental work with artistic value that not every musician can do. It is well-rounded, neat, very good and carries the tone of the present era. I share the joy and admiration with Cuong Tong and the team that produced this mini album. Cuong Tong will go further with his works in the future and I have heard comments that on the world music map, there has been and is Cuong Tong's footprint".
Tong Duc Cuong (Cuong Tong) was born in 1987, he is a pianist, composer and music producer. The male musician was born into a family with a rich artistic tradition. Cuong Tong is the son of musician Duc Minh - one of the representative faces of modern Vietnamese music. Musician Duc Minh is not only known as a guitarist but also a great composer, author of hundreds of songs, instrumental, theatrical and dance works. He was awarded the State Prize for Literature and Arts in 2007.
13 years since studying abroad and working, musician Cuong Tong has achieved many achievements. He participated in music production, music director, and composed songs for more than 8 Chinese blockbuster TV series and movies; was the producer and arranger for nearly 80 songs with diverse styles and genres that have been released in China; along with that, he produced game music and music for major sporting events: Typical examples include: the movie Painted Skin: Love Ear (2024) - Mixing and arranging the song "Wishing for the Next Life"; participated as Music Director, produced soundtrack for the movie Ten Days and Nights of Wonders (2020): produced music for the Opening Ceremony of the 19th Jiangsu Provincial Sports Festival. Composed music for the international FPS game - SQUAD (2017)...
