The Spring Fair serves as a bridge for the exchange between traditional culture and modern economic thinking.

On the evening of February 13th, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the closing ceremony of the first Spring Fair in 2026.

Attending the closing ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Head of the Steering Committee for National Fairs; leaders of ministries, departments, central and local agencies; and representatives of diplomatic agencies and international organizations in Vietnam.

Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade , in coordination with other ministries, localities, and relevant agencies and units, under the close direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, the Spring Fair 2026 will have an exhibition area of ​​approximately 100,000 m² indoors and over 45,000 m² outdoors, structured like a spring journey across Vietnam.

After 12 days of opening, despite unfavorable weather conditions and the growing e-commerce industry, the Fair welcomed over 500,000 visitors from provinces and cities across the country, along with many international delegations, who came to visit, shop, and sign trade and investment contracts.

With over 3,000 booths and tens of thousands of exquisite Vietnamese products from all over the country, the fair has "created" a cultural and artistic space full of unique characteristics, "outlining" a vibrant and joyful Spring festival, "encapsulating" a warm and joyful Tet atmosphere, and "opening up" a spring travel journey across Vietnam with many rich and unique cultural and culinary experiences, seamlessly combining folk traditions with modernity.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that after 12 days of vibrant, exciting, and colorful events at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, in the joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere of the days leading up to the traditional Lunar New Year, the first Spring Fair in 2026 vividly "depicted" the vitality of the country's economic and consumer flow in the early days of the new year; leaving an important and strong mark on the hearts of the people and the business community; strongly "spreading" the spirit of innovation, creativity, integration, the enthusiastic spirit of labor, production, and business competition; and conveying the message, aspirations, and belief in a new year of prosperous development for the country in the new era.

According to the Prime Minister, the biggest benefit of the Fair is: (1) connecting supply and demand; (2) connecting businesses with businesses; (3) connecting consumers with producers and businesses; (4) connecting spiritual and material culture; and (5) being a place for shopping and signing trade-investment contracts, especially the booming e-commerce in the digital age, the green age.

Firstly, it is affirmed that the Fair is an effective channel for stimulating domestic consumption – one of the important drivers of growth. It serves as a dynamic bridge connecting domestic and international trade. It is a testament to the strong transformation, the aspiration to "reach new heights," and the "reach" of Vietnamese goods and brands globally, leaving a deep impression, receiving positive feedback, high praise, and creating many new export opportunities from other countries.

Secondly, the success of the fair affirms the vibrant spirit of "Vietnamese people using Vietnamese goods." It confirms the trust, acceptance, pride, and absolute preference of domestic and international consumers for national products with superior quality, modern brands and designs, and high intellectual content.

Fourth, affirming the unique brand of the Spring Fair with distinctive values: (1) Being a place where the "essence" of Vietnamese regional goods and products converges, "high-class in quality - modern in design - rich in cultural identity - declaring war on counterfeit, imitation, and substandard goods and values ​​oriented towards the community"; (2) Being a bridge for exchange between traditional culture and modern economic thinking; (3) Being a strategic space that directly connects businesses with consumers, between domestic and foreign partners, creating a sustainable, green, and modern trading ecosystem.

Fifth, it affirms Vietnam's confident stance in organizing regional and international trade fairs. The presence of international businesses here shows that the Vietnamese market is an attractive, safe, and promising destination for investors, ready to welcome high-quality capital flows and green, sustainable consumer trends.

Sixth, this achievement stems from the wise leadership and guidance of the Party, the decisive and flexible management of the Government, and the involvement of the entire political system, the people, and the business community with the spirit of "The Party leads - The State creates - Businesses are pioneers - Public and private work together - The country develops - The people are happy".

According to the head of government, the first Spring Fair in 2026 has "closed," but it is a "spring greeting" full of enthusiasm, confidence, and pride, affirming that the country is entering a new stage of development with a proactive mindset, ready to seize great opportunities to break through.

To further maximize the results of the Fair and turn these "spring opportunities" into "year-long victories," the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to take the lead in comprehensively summarizing and evaluating the Fair's organization; drawing valuable lessons learned. The focus should be on developing a strategy for implementing the "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods" campaign in the new context, fundamentally shifting consumer mindset from "prioritizing" to "trusting," and "being proud" when using Vietnamese goods.

Ministries, sectors, and localities at all levels must continue to decisively direct efforts to facilitate the flow of goods, promote domestic consumption, and directly contribute to the overall growth target. Especially during this Lunar New Year holiday, it is necessary to strengthen market inspection and control to ensure the supply of essential goods and necessities of quality to consumers; and especially to wage war against counterfeit, fake, and substandard goods, particularly fake food and medicine.

The business community is always at the forefront of scientific and technological development, innovation, and digital and green transformation; taking business culture as its foundation, business ethics as its guiding principle, and humanistic values ​​as its core; resolutely declaring war on counterfeit, fake, and substandard goods; conquering the world with products of superior quality, international standards, high competitiveness, and deeply rooted in Vietnamese intellectual identity.

Addressing international friends, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is always committed to creating the most favorable, open, equitable, and transparent business environment possible. The Prime Minister requested that international friends continue to be companions, reliable partners, and strategic bridges bringing high-quality capital, core technologies, and green governance to Vietnam; and together expand cooperation for peace and prosperity in the world and the region.

The Prime Minister urged consumers to continue to strongly promote patriotism, national pride, and self-respect in their daily consumption habits. "Let's become the most discerning and responsible consumers, supporting Vietnamese products by demanding high standards, being strict in our requirements, and closely monitoring quality; contributing to building the Vietnamese brand," the Prime Minister stated.

The Prime Minister urged all relevant stakeholders to work together, unlock all resources, seize every opportunity, and create new values ​​to realize the aspiration for national development; so that every citizen can share in and benefit from the prosperous development of the country and of each individual citizen.

The assessment of the first Spring Fair in 2026 is that it is a swallow carrying the hope for a prosperous spring, while opening a door of faith and aspiration; with new momentum and new opportunities of a new spring in the new era of the nation - an era of powerful breakthroughs, with the guiding principle of the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Prime Minister hopes and believes that, with the unity and concerted efforts of the entire Party, army, and people, with the courage, wisdom, and spirit of Vietnam, we will certainly successfully achieve the goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization; steering the ship of Vietnam steadily, overcoming storms and obstacles, reaching out to the open sea, standing shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the world, and firmly advancing "rapidly, strongly, and steadily" towards socialism.

On behalf of the Government, declaring the closing of the first Spring Fair in 2026, the Prime Minister expressed his expectations for subsequent national trade fairs with "six improvements": larger scale - higher stature - deeper linkages - more professional organization - stronger reach and greater benefits for the people.
