The city's Red Cross Society received more than 6 billion VND to support people affected by floods.

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of November 14, at 119 Van Xuan, the Hue City Red Cross Association coordinated with the People's Committee of Kim Long Ward and the Ward Fatherland Front Committee to distribute 100 gifts to local people severely affected by the recent flood. This is one of the activities within the emergency support program that the Association is implementing throughout the city.

Giving gifts to people affected by the recent floods

Immediately after grasping the situation, the Hue City Red Cross Society launched an appeal to organizations, businesses and individuals inside and outside the province to join hands to support people in the flood-affected areas. Thanks to that, up to now, the Society has received goods and cash with a total value of more than 6 billion VND contributed by 15 organizations and individuals. This is an important resource to help the relief work to be deployed quickly and effectively.

Since October 30, the Association has delivered relief goods and cash to the right beneficiaries in more than 20 affected communes and wards. The gifts mainly include necessities, essential items and cash support to help people quickly restore their livelihoods after natural disasters.

The Red Cross representative said the program will not stop here. In the coming time, the Association will continue to survey and visit flood-affected areas to give more gifts, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives after the flood.
