Lao Cai Provincial Red Cross Society organizes "Safe School" training

On October 11, Lao Cai Provincial Red Cross organized a training course on "Safe School" for 30 students who are officers and teachers of Phong Hai Primary Boarding School No. 1.

This activity is part of a series of training programs under the Project "International aid to support schools in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 (storm Yagi ) and post-storm circulation".

"Safe school" training course at Phong Hai Primary Boarding School No. 1.

The framework for safe schools according to the policies and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training is implemented with three main pillars: Safe school facilities; disaster risk management; education on disaster prevention, mitigation and response to climate change in schools.

During the training session, trainees were exposed to and discussed many natural disaster and incident situations that could directly affect schools, proposed solutions and practiced proper handling procedures and techniques. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and knowledge about natural disaster prevention and control, towards building a safe school environment.

The "safe school" training program is being implemented in 8 schools in 3 communes: Phong Hai, Xuan Quang, Hop Thanh. Each school will be trained for 3 days.
