In 2025, the Veterans Association of Nam Nha Trang ward promoted the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", overcame all difficulties, performed well its tasks, and built an increasingly strong organization.

Promoting the core role at the grassroots level

As one of the important political and social organizations at the grassroots level, the Association of War Veterans in Nam Nha Trang Ward always identifies the participation in building a strong political system as a continuous task. Therefore, the Association actively grasps the thoughts of its members, propagates the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; and simultaneously participates in many aspects of local work.

Currently, the association has 2,337 members, operating in 64 branches, of which 127 cadres and members participate in Party, government and mass organization work from residential groups and above (accounting for 5.43% of the total number of members), promoting the core role and responsibility in all areas of work. In 2025, the association will maintain 5 core war veteran groups, with 150 cadres and members working regularly, taking on the task of grasping the situation at the grassroots level, coordinating propaganda, maintaining security and order and promptly reflecting on issues arising from residential areas.

Along with that, the Ward Veterans Association continues to preside over and coordinate mediation at the grassroots level. During the year, the association successfully mediated 12 cases related to conflicts in residential areas; directly reformed and educated 18 offenders to return to normal life. Many officers and members also joined the police and self-governing forces to patrol the roads and residential areas, contributing to maintaining social order and safety and preventing social evils.

The self-management activities of members continue to be strongly promoted, especially the effective maintenance of 14 "self-managed war veteran" routes and 12 war veteran environmental protection clubs, contributing to building a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape and civilized urban lifestyle in the area.

In addition, the association also handled arising situations well. Especially during the flood in November, the association promptly mobilized cadres and members to actively coordinate with forces to support the evacuation of people and property of people in residential groups: Thuy Tu, Vinh Xuan, Thai Thong 1, Thai Thong 2 and Dat Lanh which were deeply flooded; transported more than 100 tons of relief goods; mobilized donations of 25 tons of goods and necessities to help people stabilize their lives after the natural disaster.

In all situations, cadres and members uphold the spirit of responsibility, strive to be worthy of the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", contributing to keeping peace for the community".

Spread the movement of love

Along with political tasks, social security work is also a bright spot of the Association of War Veterans in Nam Nha Trang Ward. In particular, the association has mobilized the construction of 2 "Comradely Love" houses, with a total cost of 470 million VND; eliminated 2 temporary and dilapidated houses worth 96 million VND for members' families in difficult circumstances. Many programs to care for members have been implemented such as: Giving nearly 1,000 gifts to members and people in difficult circumstances on the occasion of holidays and Tet; giving 2 wheelchairs to war invalids...

The movement “War veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business ” continues to be effective. The whole association has 67 savings and loan groups, with 3,300 households borrowing, total outstanding debt reaching 138 billion VND; overdue debt is only 0.15%. This is an important resource to help members increase their income, gradually stabilize their lives. Up to now, the association has no more poor or near-poor households; the rate of well-off households is over 66%, and the rate of rich households is over 6.2%. The association has 65 war veterans who own businesses, creating jobs and stable income for nearly 400 members.

In addition, in 2025, the association mobilized cadres and members to donate more than 183 million VND to support the people of the North affected by storm No. 10; 75 million VND to support the people of Cuba; more than 36 million VND to help members in times of difficulty and illness... These meaningful humanitarian activities have created a strong spread in the community, demonstrating the spirit of "remembering the source of drinking water".

With outstanding results in 2025, the Association of War Veterans of Nam Nha Trang Ward continues to affirm its core role in mobilizing and gathering members and people in emulation movements, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
