The Fifth Conference of the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee

On September 23, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held the 5th Executive Committee meeting for the 2023-2028 term, reviewing union work in the third quarter and deploying tasks for the fourth quarter of 2024.

In the third quarter, the work of propaganda, dissemination, legal education and patriotic emulation movements among union members, workers and employees (CNVCLĐ) was maintained; many meaningful and practical activities were organized to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) in the non-state sector was promoted. In the third quarter, the whole province established 13 new grassroots trade unions and admitted 3,925 new union members. Currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor directly manages 1,728 grassroots trade unions with 150,242 union members, the union membership rate reached 97.3%. The management and use of union finances ensure proper purposes, savings and efficiency.

The Provincial Federation of Labor also supported 318 children of union members and employees in especially difficult circumstances, with outstanding achievements in the 2023-2024 school year, with an amount of over 278 million VND on the occasion of the new school year and Mid-Autumn Festival; organized a survey of 12 union members' houses and 4 public service houses, requesting the Management Board of the "Union Shelter" Fund to consider supporting construction and repair in the second phase of 2024... In particular, after the collapse of Phong Chau bridge due to the impact of storm No. 3, the trading activities of many enterprises in the industrial parks: Thuy Van, Trung Ha and Cam Khe were affected, the Trade Union organization coordinated with business owners to take measures to support transportation and accommodation... so that workers could work with peace of mind.

In the fourth quarter, the Provincial Federation of Labor directed all levels of the Union to review the results of implementing the political tasks assigned by the superiors in 2024, programs and work plans, propose solutions for implementation, and strive to complete the assigned political tasks. Focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees, especially union members in difficult circumstances, affected by storm No. 3. Continue to promote emulation movements among employees, strive to complete the political tasks of localities, agencies, units and enterprises in 2024.

At the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor deployed the work of planning cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee for the 2028-2033 term.
