Conference to review the Emulation Cluster of the Cooperative Alliance of Northern Mountainous Provinces in 2025

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Bien Cuong - Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial Cooperative Union; representatives of Cooperative Unions of provinces in Emulation Cluster No. 1.

Emulation cluster No. 1 includes the provinces of Lai Chau, Son La, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang and Lang Son. In 2025, the emulation movement to carry out the political tasks of the Cooperative Alliance of 8 Northern mountainous provinces continued to make a strong impression with many outstanding results. The units closely followed the policies and resolutions of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and the orientation of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance to synchronously deploy solutions; completed and exceeded many targets for collective economic development (KTTT) in the period of 2021 - 2025. The Cooperative Alliance system was firmly consolidated, affirming its core role in promoting the development of the KTTT sector.

In advisory work, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance has proactively proposed and developed plans and policies for the development of collective economy and cooperatives; organized conferences, Steering Committee meetings, anniversary activities and improved the organizational apparatus towards streamlining and efficiency. Propaganda work has been innovated and brought about clear results.

Membership development and expansion of the KTTT sector have made remarkable progress. The entire cluster has 12,287 cooperative groups, more than 7,700 active cooperatives and 17 cooperative unions; many models create stable jobs for hundreds of thousands of workers, with an average income of 65 - 70 million VND/person/year. Cooperatives actively participate in developing OCOP products, key products and linking them to value chains, creating a spillover effect in the rural economy .

Support for cooperatives has been comprehensively implemented: organizing 66 training classes, providing credit consultation for dozens of loan projects, promoting digital transformation, supporting the construction of greenhouses and net houses, tracing origin, developing brands and enhancing trade promotion.

The emulation and reward work has been effectively implemented and has become an important driving force to promote the sustainable development of the collective economic and cooperative sector. During the year, the entire cluster has considered and rewarded more than 90 collectives and individuals...

In the coming time, the Cooperative Union of the provinces in Emulation Cluster No. 1 will focus on propaganda, mobilization, and promoting solidarity to effectively implement emulation movements associated with major events. At the same time, it will discover and foster advanced models; strive to excellently complete targets; improve the quality of emulation and regularly check and promptly encourage outstanding collectives and individuals.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing many important issues related to cooperative activities such as: considering and adding more participating cooperatives to enhance exchange and experience learning; proposing solutions to ensure operating costs for the Cooperative Union; searching for, expanding output and increasing product value for cooperatives.

Representatives of Lai Chau Provincial Cooperative Union handed over the Flag to host the 2026 Emulation Cluster No. 1 Conference to Son La Provincial Cooperative Union.

At the conference, the emulation covenant for 2026 was signed and the emulation cluster leader was transferred to the Son La Provincial Cooperative Union.
